Jessica White, fifth grade teacher at Longstreth Elementary School, for being chosen from thousands of applicants as a participant in the Summer Reading Institute at Teachers College at ColumbiaUniversity.

May 2012 Klinger Middle School Students of the Month: Daisy Peralta (8A), Timothy Covone (8B), Ryan Cole (7A), Ariel Goldberg (7B), AndrewWisniewski(6A), and GabrielleMcCoy (6B).

Klinger Middle School Builders Club for raising $200 for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation by holding a car wash after school. Many students from the club participated and cleaned approximately 25 cars during the event.

Jessica Rimdzius, an eighth grade student at Log College Middle School, who appeared in Montgomery Theatre, Too’s production of Disney’sAladdin Jr.

Dr. Bucky Clark, Log College Middle School principal, for his participation in a blue ribbon panel of television and radio personalities as they remembered 90 years of continued broadcasting on Philadelphia’s WCAU/WPHT.

Andrew VanBuskirk, a senior at WTHS, who qualified for states in wrestling.

Ian Forlini,a sophomore at WTHS, who was named Athlete of the Year in the Courier Times and won the bronze medal in diving at the state championships. Ian had an outstanding season defending his Class AAA and SOL National titles.

Connor Forlini, a senior at WTHS, who finished his high school career defending his Class AAA and SOL National titles coming in 6th in the 500-meter freestyle and 13th in the 200-meter freestyle. Connor will be swimming at West Chester next year.

The 4x200 meter relay team of Keith Desher, Alexander Perks, Anthony Knox, and Philip Kistner who ran a 137.5 to qualify and then compete at the state meet at Penn State University during the indoor track season.

Horace Spencer, a freshman at WTHS, who qualified for the outdoor state meet this spring in the high jump, clearing a height of 6’ 5”. Horace is a freshman that came out for track to increase his speed for basketball and placed 10th in the state with a jump of 6’4”.
