ISOnet Login and Registration

The ISOnet Login and Registration pages have recently been rewritten to strengthen security in accordance with industry standards and best practices.

As part of this effort, new password security features have been instituted. These security features are utilized when you log in to ISOnet, when you register for an ISO Passport product, and when you change your existing ISO Passport password via the Manage Profile function in Subscriber Services.

The following security features now apply to all customers registered for at least one ISO Passport product:

¨  Passwords must be at least 8 characters.

¨  Passwords must contain at least 3 of the following 4 criteria: uppercase letter, lowercase letter, number, special character.

¨  Password will expire every 30 days.

¨  Your user account will be automatically locked after 3 unsuccessful login attempts.

¨  When you change your password, you cannot change it again for at least 2 days.

In addition, one new security feature applies to all ISOnet and ISO Passport customers:

¨  When changing your password, you may not use any of your last 12 passwords.

NOTE: Each user must register for his or her own unique ID and password. IDs and passwords may not be shared. If your ID and password are managed by your company administrator, please contact him or her for the information necessary to update your password.

Customers may contact Verisk Customer Support at 1-800-888-4476 (option 3) for password assistance.

New User Registration

The primary change to the new registration page is the elimination of the list of products that was previously displayed. Now you simply type your registration key or registration keys into the Registration Key(s) box near the bottom of the registration page. If you are registering for multiple products, separate each registration key with a comma.

Provided below is a screen shot of the revised New User Registration page:

After completing the New User Registration, you will arrive at the Create Username and Password page.

Provided below is a screen shot of the new Create Username and Password page:

If you click the Help icon, information regarding the password security features is displayed in a pop-up window. Please note that different password information will be displayed depending on whether you are registering for an ISOnet product or an ISO Passport product.

In the following example, the customer is not registering for an ISO Passport product, so the pop-up window states that the password “must be 5–20 characters.” If this were an ISO Passport customer, the pop-up window would state that the password “must be 8–20 characters.”

Login Page

This is the new ISOnet Login page.

If you are an existing ISO Passport customer and attempt to log in with a password that does not comply with the new password security features, you will be redirected to the Change Password screen. On the Change Password screen, shown below, you will see a message indicating that your password does not conform to the new security features.

If you are already logged in and want to change your password, you can access the Change Password screen via the Subscriber Services link in the gray toolbar on the left side of the ISOnet screen. In this case, the message in red text would not appear.

As with the Create Username and Password screen described above, if you click the Help icon, information regarding the password security features is displayed in a pop-up window. Please note that different password information will be displayed depending on whether you are registering for an ISOnet product or an ISO Passport product.

In the following example, the customer is not registering for an ISO Passport product, so the pop-up states that the password “must be 5–20 characters.” If this were an ISO Passport customer, the pop-up window would state that the password “must be 8–20 characters.”

If you are an ISO Passport customer, the Password Strength link will be displayed on the Change Password page. Clicking this link will display a pop-up window containing password strength information.
