The meeting opened at 6.15pm.

1.CONFIRMATION OF MINUTES
Lyn Teal moved that the minutes of the previous meeting be accepted, seconded Sue Collins.
2.DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST

3.BUSINESS ARISING

4.GENERAL BUSINESS
4.1Judges
Lyn was able to get Wendy Sharp as the third judge. Wendy is overseas at the moment and will not be back until the middle of March, however she was pleased to be asked. Adrian to provide criteria for artists judging to committee members for their interest (i.e. why we select the way we do). (Judges’ disclaimer)
4.2Promotion Update: Website, mail chimp and Facebook
Adrian advised that the website has been updated.
We now have a Facebook page – Pauline has seen it and ‘liked’ it. Adrian advised that we now have 300 “Friends” and 100 “likes”. It has been going for 1 ½ weeks.
Adrian advised that Mail chimp went out and asked if everyone got the E Newsletter.
An ad went in the E Newsletter for the Art Almanac.
4.3Flyer
Joanne passed around another draft mockup of the flyer for everyone to look at. The back has now changed to white. All agreed that it looks better. Another draft will be provided at the next meeting.
4.4Sponsorship
Lyn was able to secure a raffle prize from Artscene – the value is unknown at this point in time (possibly $50).
Pauline was given a lot of things from Derivan which will cover 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes for Primary School children’s colouring competition. Clr McLaughlin asked Adrian for the picture to be given to the schools which she is distributing. Also we need a cut off date for submission of these coloured in pictures. It was also requested that Certificates be produced for the Winners of each section.
4.5Art Class
We need 4 artists per day. Lyn advised that Marion Stroud hassaid yes. Pauline advised that Robyn Ross has agreed and will be doing charcoals in her hour.
It was noted that we need to take bookings for the classes.
4.6Pop Up Galleries
Adrian met with Nadine from Garibaldi Inn last week. He also has a meeting with Hunters Hill Main Street Committee next Wednesday.
5.OTHER BUSINESS
5.1Volunteers
Adrian advised that tomorrow he and Joanne will be interviewing 2 potential interns and one on Friday. Adrian has also been to TAFE and done his talk to get assistance from students there.
6.NEXT MEETING
The next meeting will be held on Wednesday 5 March 2014 at 6pm in the Small Hall.
The meeting closed at 7pm.

HUNTERS HILL 2030
A key outcome in the Community and Lifestyle section of Council’s current Community Strategic Plan is:
1.1Implementation of a range of arts and cultural programs and actively support local cultural organisations and events.
The Art Exhibition will assist Council to achieve this outcome.
