  1. Technical logistics of using/saving/editing Camtasia on PCs and Macs at the Clemson and Uconn sites - what platforms do we have available at our schools and what procedures should we put into place to ensure the best quality of Camtasia recordings for analyses and presentations (Don brought this up today when he and I were meeting).
  1. Preliminary ideas from Dave about where we should be headed in Year 2 generally with formative evaluation procedures and more specifically with identifying important "variables" to begin building our eventual "pool of variables". Similarly, Dave's thoughts on how we might explore formative evaluation "systematically" across multiple sites and contexts with different researchers working at one site or another.

  1. Working collaboratively on our upcoming AERA and IRA sessions (exchanging data, write-ups and plans for posters). Examining the common poster layout and background that Dave suggested and Don volunteered to create (thanks Don).
  1. Exchanging critique, strategies, and implementation of the verbal protocol (nail down the timelines for both SC and CT). Discussion on how we might go about analyzing the verbal protocol data.
  1. Nailing down a catchy name for our project.

  1. Discussion regarding the obtainment of achievement scores. In CT, we have 6th grade CMT scores for our current 7th graders (administered Spring 2006). What SC scores will best “match” our state assessment? What sub-scores are available? What about large-scale scores (see Great Schools site) that record % proficiency?
  1. Should we develop a Spring 2006 newsletter?
