How to Use the On-Line Workbook for Think Good – Feel Good by Paul Stallard

The on-line workbook resources for Think Good – Feel Good are interactive. Double-click on the link provided to download a WinZip self-extracting archive containing Adobe Acrobat PDF files of each chapter of Think Good – Feel Good and a Microsoft Word document, Worksheets.doc.

A password is required to download the files. The password is the last word on page 162 of the book.

A WinZip icon should now be on your desktop. Double-click on the icon and the Think Good – Feel Good files should launch automatically, unzipping the files directly to a folder as c:/ThinkGoodFeelGood. If there is a problem, please create a folder, ThinkGoodFeelGood, on the C drive and copy all of the files to this location. To preserve confidentiality and to allow re-use of the electronic worksheets Worksheets.doc is a read-only document which will require you to Save As a new document each time the altered original is closed. A document should be created for each patient, and their version of the Think Good – Feel Good electronic worksheets should be saved and then accessed directly in future sessions.

The Word document repeats all of the exercises that appear in Think Good – Feel Good, however the exercises in this document are editable, whereas the PDF is not, so please tailor them to your patient’s needs and add any further questions you would like. You will find a table of contents for each workbook page at the top of the document. Click on the link to the activity you would like. The worksheets follow each other consecutively so once you have established your starting point, you can scroll through the Worksheet document.

Colour Adobe Acrobat PDF documents of all of the Think Good –Feel Good text are included in the WinZip archive for your reference. You may access these files directly by clicking on their icons, however the Worksheet is linked directly to the PDF files of the chapters in which exercises appear. To easily access the chapter’s PDF from the Worksheet, click on the title at the beginning of each chapter’s worksheets (example: Chapter 4 – Thoughts, Feelings and What You Do). This will allow you to see an electronic version of the chapter as it appears in the printed book – in full colour – using Adobe Acrobat (downloadable free from the web at http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep.html). Save the Word file when you are ready, and the next time the on-line workbook is accessed, the changes made to the Word file (answers to the exercises, etc.) will still be there. Even if you save the document into a new directory, links to the PDF files should be unaffected.
