A Criminal Record Search will be required if Applicant is rewarded with a Team. It must besubmitted to the SDGHA's Coaching Selection Committee prior to any activities pertaining to the team. Youmust also review and sign the attached "General Information" guidelines and coaches contract. If you are applying for a ProvincialRep Team you must also complete a budget form for the season.
** If applying for Midget AA or Bantam AA High Performance 1 coaching certification must be completed (classroom, written & practical) by December 2015, this is in accordance with Hockey Canada requirements
General Information Guidelines
Please review the following information and return a signed copy with yourapplication.
1)Coaches and managers are responsible to ensure the SDGHA and OWHAconstitutions are understood and abided by.
2)House League applicants are not required to submit financial plans forthe upcoming season. Sweaters and Goalie equipment for novice, atom,peewee, bantam and senior (midget/intermediate combined) will besupplied by the league.
3)You will be responsible for returning all equipment and sweaters to theleague at the end of the season. They must be returned as they were given.
4)The SDGHA sponsors a local tournament that requires the cooperationand assistance of team staff and parents. It is mandatory that all successful applicants areto participate and/or assist in this event.
5)All applications will be reviewed and references will be contacted.
6)All coaching applicants must supply a copy of their NCCP certification.
7)All teams are responsible for having a certified trainer with a currentcertification. Trainers must supply a copy of their certification.
8)Managers and Coaches are responsible for their team personnel, playersand parents conduct.
