  • 1:40 pm meeting initiated ~ informal discussion started.

Announcements

  • Mac discussed Advisory Board Mtg last week, Paul & Chris attended @ Pgh Downtown Partnership. Spectrum Perm Housing program discussed (Shelter plus Care)
  • Melody will email Shepherds Heart ministry bus schedule to Mac.
  • OSN trying to get clients together to be part of board. Contact Stephanie Chiappini regarding. Mtg will be at end of September.
  • Stand-Down-Melody reported 120-130 consumers attended. OSN say 60-70 for case management (eye vouchers/dental/etc). Don V reported Post Gazette showed 4000 homeless kids and 1000 homeless vets.
  • HMIS report. Mac explained and passed out unduplicated and duplicated numbers. County is offering more info for providers to access. Fred suggested we could start using resources better to count people. If we could partner with 151 municipalities, we could better serve those homeless people.
  • ACH/County Homeless Advisory Board-meeting for 2nd step to end homelessness. Discussing different types of housing.
  • Discussed with Mayor’s 311 Response Line. Wendy Urbanic had meeting with Mac. Where are people calling from? Can calls be forwarded to CHS? Mac with report back.
  • Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership used to receive calls.
  • Homeless Advisory Board-commitment for continuum of care. No discussion of CIT. need to consider asking police to track “homelessness” as an issue, because it will help tracking.
  • Re-Solve-as of July 1 went “live” to work with ACES. 20 mobile calls first days. 600+ mobile calls for July. Mailing just went out to all of AlleghenyCounty. The following agencies are involved: Mercy, United Way, Peer Support Warm Line, contact Pittsburgh-connect with these groups quarterly to coordinate services better. 888-7-YOUCAN. North Point Breeze location to open after being built. Date not yet determined. Mobile is determined after assessment (DA, MH, Police involvement). Mac asked about accessing homeless clients. He assured that they could be reached w/out addresses.

  • Paul will look in to Baltimore’s program.
  • Mac will look in to Denver’s program.
  • Fred asked regarding status of the Wood St Commons building. There is no new news at this time.
