Puszta Eldorado is a small-scale holiday park in sunny and authentic Hungary. You can rent holiday accommodation with us and, if you wish, add breakfast, lunch and/or dinner, rent bird photography hides, arrange excursions, guides and workshops.
Your hosts are George and Hellen, both Dutch. Their principal drive is to provide true hospitality. Their accommodation was designed with mobility limitations in mind. All accommodations are modern but are especially designed to provide practical comfort.
Puszta Eldorado is located in the centre of the triangle Hortobagy, Tisza lake and Tisza river.
Holiday Park Puszda Eldorado
Was constructed on the edge of the authentic Hungarian village of Tiszagyenda. Discover the natural beauty, the village life in all its calm and purity.
The small-scale holiday park Puszda Eldorado was opened in 2013 on a 16 acre “Poesta” which includes a fishing pond, a swimming pool with sun area, terrace with Wi-Fi and a natural park with several photography hides. Nevertheless, it is within the village boundary of Tiszigyenda which can easily be visited by foot.

Whilst Puszta Eldorado is 16 acres, the number of accommodations is limited, giving peace and privacy. The site houses just two bungalows, two chalets, one Puszta hut and a limited number of camping plots. The site is well accessible for people with mobility limitations including wheelchair users. Each accommodation has it’s own garden with lots of privacy. The swimming pool and terraced area are in the centre of the site, available to all, with the accommodation around it.

Wild life
There is a unique range of birds who live in and around our park. These include The Eurasian Golden Oriole, the Hoopoe, the black-eared Wheatear, Eurasian Wryneck, Syrian Woodpecker, the reed Warbler, the Bee-eater, the lesser Grey Shrike, the Red-backed Shrike, the Cuckoo, the Nightingale and so many more. In May and June, a total of 130 different species were recorded in the neighbourhood of which 79 within the park itself!

Accommodation type: Bungalow
A lovely bungalow with comfort and lots of space.
The bungalows are suitable for 4 people (+1). They are detached, spacious, accessible for wheelchairs with no sills and suitable doors, comfortable and laid out in a practical way. The bungalows themselves are no less than 700 sq. ft each with an additional roofed terrace of 280 sq. ft. and another 250-sq. ft. of hard standing parking/terrace.
From the living room and the fabulous terrace, you have a magnificent view of the park or the pond, you are right in the middle of nature.
As a guest of Puszda Eldorado you can relax at the pool, make use of the sunning lawn, have a cold drink on the terrace whilst checking your social media, fish at the pond, or spot and photograph birds from a professional hide.

Accommodation type: Chalet
Enjoy a great holiday with a fully kitted-out chalet. In a Chalet you can enjoy an excellent combination of a great camping holiday whilst benefitting from living in a comfortable, fully kitted-out chalet.
The chalets are set up for parties of 4, 5 or 6 people with permanent beds. They are fitted with a full kitchen block including gas hob, fridge and freezer. Each of them are 300 sq. ft. with an additional covered terrace of 120 sq. ft.
From the living room and the fabulous terrace, you have a magnificent view of the park or the pond, you are right in the middle of nature.
As a guest of Puszda Eldorado you can relax at the pool, make use of the sunning lawn, have a cold drink on the terrace whilst checking your social media, fish at the pond, or spot and photograph birds from a professional hide.
Chalet lay-out
- 4 to 6 single beds
- Kitchen block on wheels with 2-burner cooker, fridge, Senseo coffee maker and kettle.
- Roofed terrace with table and benches
- Separate private bathroom with shower, toilet and wash hand basin.

Accommodation type: Puszta Hut
Cosy hut with comfort.
The Puszta hut is located on the edge of our own orchard with unrestricted views. The hut is 150 sq. ft. and has a 120-sq. ft. roofed terrace. The hut is suitable for a couple and is fitted with air conditioning as well as electric heating.
As a guest of Puszda Eldorado you can relax at the pool, make use of the sunning lawn, have a tea on the terrace whilst checking your emails, fish at the pond, or spot and photograph birds from a professional hide.
Puszta Hut lay-out
- Two single beds or a double
- Kitchen block with fridge and 2 burner cooker, cutlery, crockery, mugs and glasses. Senseo coffee maker, two pans and frying pan.

Accommodation type: Camping site
Spacious plots either in the sun or in the shade.
At Puszta Eldorado we provide various camping plots either in the sun or in the shade. There are no defined spots, you are free to choose your own perfect spot. Electricity, water and chemical waste outlets are available. The park provides central showers, toilets and an outdoor kitchen.
Should you prefer “wild camping” at the lake or in the nature park, this can be arranged.
Early reservations are not required but highly recommended. We only have 3 electricity outlets, first come first serve, as we opt to remain small.
