Guido Wolf, leader of the CDU in the state parliament, visits SEW-EURODRIVE
Bruchsal, August 12, 2015: Guido Wolf, leader of the CDU members of the Baden-Württemberg state parliament, today visited Bruchsal-based drive specialists SEW-EURODRIVE as part of his 2015 summer tour.
Jürgen Blickle, Managing Partner, and Johann Soder, Managing Director of Technology, this morning welcomed Guido Wolf to the company’s sun-kissed headquarters. This was part of Wolf’s 2015 summer tour, and he was accompanied by Ulrich Hockenberger, Mayor of Bruchsal, Heribert Rech and Joachim Kössler, both deputies in the state parliament, and a delegation from the CDU’s representatives in the state parliament.
After receiving background information from Johann Soder about the history and development of the company, as well as the challenges that lie ahead, such as Industry 4.0 and mobility and infrastructure, Wolf expressed particular interest in the issue of mobility. Johann Soder and Dr. Jochen Mahlein highlighted for him the technology, applications, current projects and challenges in politics, infrastructure, and international regulation and standardization. Wolf was particularly impressed by the company’s commitment to innovation, and its willingness to break new ground. He has taken as one of his goals his vision of Baden-Württemberg seizing the opportunity to become Europe’s SmartValley, recognized for its strong, innovative industry, and able to take a pioneering role in driving forward Industry 4.0.
