The Speech and Debate Team invites everyone who would like to join to attend an interest meeting this Friday, August 28th in room 1013 from 2:30-3:30.

ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS INTERESTED IN DRAMA CLUB!

We will have an introduction meeting Thursday, August 27th in the Drama room 3101 after school at 2:30! Anyone interested and wants to find out more info about the Cary High Drama Club---please attend!

ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS INTERESTED IN AUDITIONING FOR OUR FALL PLAY ARSENIC AND OLD LACE:

We will have an informational meeting THIS Thursday, August 27th in the Drama room 3101 IMMEDIATELY following the drama club meeting (around 3:15).

Students for South Sudan will have an interest meeting on Thursday, August 27th in Mrs. Dukes’ room – 2121 during A block of SMART lunch. Everyone is welcome!

Who wants to travel to Spain and Italy right after school ends, June 14-21, to visit Barcelona, Florence and Venice? If this sounds like the trip for you come to Mrs. Allen's room, 2106, onTuesday, Sept. 1 during lunch or right after school at 2:30 to ask questions, get more information and a detailed itinerary

SMART Lunch intramural sign-ups have begun for the fall. Students can sign up for Ultimate Frisbee, Basketball or Weight Training. After two weeks, Coach Johns will begin to assign captains and create teams for the season. Please sign-up on the sheets hanging on the Main Gym Lobby Doors or see Coach Johns for more information.

The Hall of Fame/PE Lobby will be locked and is off-limits during SMART Lunch due to intramurals. Please use the Main Gym Lobby to come to and from the Senior Parking lot.

Support the Men's Basketball Program by eating at CITY BARBECUE this THURSDAY ... anytime during the day. Dine In or Take Out! 25% of the proceeds come back to Cary High School! All it takes is to show the flier when you order. See any basketball player or drop by Coach Gus'sor Coach Tarasco's classroom and pick up a flier.

Attention all Freshmen: If you are interested in running for a class officer or class representative position, please attend one of the following meetings: Wednesday, August 26 during A block of Smart Lunch in Mrs. Anderson's room (2321) or Thursday, August 27th during A block of Smart Lunch in Mrs. Atkinson's room (2309). Please see Mrs. Anderson, Mrs. Atkinson or Mr. May if you have any questions.

Reminder to all Junior Class Officers that you have a meeting Thursday afternoon in Mrs. Loughridge's room (2128).

There will be a mandatory interest meeting for any girls interested in playing basketball this Friday, 8/28 from 2:30-3:00 in Coach Daly's room #2208.

Current NHS members! We need 3 more concession workers for the football game this Friday. Come by Mr. Zappia's room (2229) to sign up if you can help.

Starting on Thursday no student will be allowed to enter a classroom after the tardy bell rings until they get a Red Pass from the Discipline Office in 1001. All teachers are reminded to lock their doors each period when the tardy bell rings.

Today during SMART Lunch all Juniors and Seniors who attended Cary High School last year and who had their picture taken by the school photographer, should report to the Discipline Center to pick up theirschool I.D. Students with last names starting with A-M should report during A Lunch and students with last names starting with N-Z should report during B Lunch.

Students who already have a Lunch Pass DO NOT need a student I.D.

New students and students who did not have their pictures taken last year will have the opportunity to get their I.D. cards in September. Until that time students will need to make sure they know their Student I.D. Number. This number will be required to gain access to your class if you are tardy starting on Thursday.

Congratulations to the Women's Golf team who defeated Apex and Holly Springs to finish seventh out of nine teams in the SWAC golf match held at Lochmere Golf Club on Tuesday. The top three finishers for Cary were junior Katie Khiev with a 52, and seniors Maxine Green and Emma Johnston both with a 53. The Imps travel to Devil's Ridge next Tuesday for the third SWAC match of the season.

Congratulations to the men's soccer teams who swept Garner last night. A strong home crowd help spur the IMPS on to victory. The JV's won 2-1 and the Varsity 4-2. The varsity goal scorers were Logan Griffin, Noah Bagherpour, George Bournazian and Carlos Perez. Logan Griffin also had an assist while Quinn Dunphy led the way with 2 assists. The IMPS take the field again at home on Thursday as they host state runners up Broughton. Kick-off is at 5pm for JV and 7pm for Varsity. Hope to see you there.

The first Anime Club meeting is this Friday, August 28th in room 2120, after school 2:30 to 3:50.
