Dear Potential Fulbright Host,

Each year, the Institute of International Education (IIE) organizes enrichment seminars for first-year Fulbright Students in 8 cities throughout the U.S. The Fulbright Program - of which these seminars are an important part - is funded by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the U. S. Department of State. This year's Washington seminar, "Leadership and Public Service"will take place February 21-25, 2007. 140 students representing around 80 different countries will participate in the seminar, along with recently returned U.S. Student Program alumni.

As in years past, a home hospitality evening has been scheduled for the Fulbright students with members of the greater Washington, DC, community. We would like to invite you to host a small group of Fulbright students for dinner in your home on Friday evening, February 23.

To confirm your willingness and availability to host students, please fill out and return the confirmation form (available online at ) as soon as possible. Ideally we ask you to host 2 to 5 students, but understand that circumstances may dictate a smaller or larger group. If you would like to request students from a specific country or those studying a particular discipline, please indicate your preference on the confirmation form. IIE will try to match you with appropriate students.Please return the form to IIE by Monday, February 5, or call us to indicate your interest.

The seminar will be held at the Renaissance WashingtonDC Hotel, 999 9th Street, N.W. , Washington, D.C.
