The purpose of Fridays Artwalk is to showcase the talents of local artists living and working in Mazatlan’s Centro Histórico. Participating artists and galleries must show original fine artby local artists such as paintings, prints, drawings, photography, mixed media, jewelry and sculpture. If you are not an artist studio or art gallery, you must have a dedicated space to showcase the art and the artists need to be present. It is important to change your display each month so that the public will want to return.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

Dates & Times / First Friday of each month – November thru April 4 to 8 pm
If you know that you will not be open for one or more First Fridays, please contact Carmina Carranza at least one week prior to the date, at
Fee / $200 pesos per Artist/Gallery. (If there is more than one artist at each site, each artist is required to pay the fee.)
Publicity / ▪Artists/galleries will receive a supply of printed flyers, including a map. These flyers will also be distributed to shops, restaurants, and hotels.
▪Each site will also receive a large display banner. Balloons should be hung the day of the event at each site.
▪Each artist will be listed in the ArtWalk web site: . Your work will remain on the site for 1 year.
▪Artists will also benefit from publicity via mass E-mails, and coverage from Newspapers, Magazines, and Websites
What you MUst do TO APPLY / SEND IT TO / DEADLINE
  1. Fill in and print this application.

  1. Submit your application fee of $200 pesos per artist.
/ Deliver to Casa Etnika, Sixto Osuna #50. / July 15th
  1. For the website: submit a digital photo of yourself, & up to six images of your work, a artist statement, and a resume. The digital photo : 72 DPI, no larger than 600 pixels. NOTE: If you participated in Art Walk last year and want to keep it the same, let me know.
