ACTS 4301 Actuarial Science (3 semester hours) Life contingencies,

survival models, Markov chain models, life insurances and annuities. This class covers parts of CAS Exam 3L and SOA Exam MLC. Prerequisite: STAT 4351, or consent of instructor.

Actuarial models including interest rate models, rational valuation of derivative securities, mathematical and probabilistic foundation of risk management. This class covers parts of CAS exam 3F and SOA exam MFE. Prerequisite: STAT 4351, STAT 4382 and BA 4346, or consent of instructor. (3-0) T

ACTS 4304 Principles of Actuarial Methods (3 semester hours) Construction and evaluation of actuarial models, credibility, statistical smoothing techniques and simulations. This class covers parts of CAS Exam 4/SOA Exam C. Prerequisite: STAT 4351 and STAT 4352, or consent of instructor. (3-0) T
