Ensure delivery of quality food to residents /
  • Direct assistance with delivery of food services to residents and assist with preparation of meals as required
  • Ensure sufficient food & drink supplies are available in conjunction with the cook
  • Ability to retain individual preferences of residents and / or their dietary requirements
  • Ability to relieve as cook with cooking duties if required
  • Responsible for resident morning & afternoon tea
  • Ensure duties lists are accurate and up to date

Ability to relieve as cook with cooking duties if required /
  • Menu items cooked
  • Appropriate food supplies on hand at all times

  • Co-ordinate all kitchen/dining room activities including all food service processes and procedures
  • Order, store and monitor Food on a daily basis
  • Co-ordinate Food Service Staff and provide assistance to other staff at meal times as required ie. Volunteers

Ensure compliance with legislative requirements /
  • Food safety plan followed at all times
  • Ensure compliance with OH&S requirements
  • Food service equipment cleaned

Keep kitchen and dining facility in clean and tidy state /
  • Ensure that dining room is in a tidy and safe state
  • Facilitate cleaning regimes in kitchen and dining room including appropriate documentation
  • Ensure appropriate linen supplies

  • Assistance in preparation of the facilities Accreditation application
