Demolition of corrugated iron store and proposed extensions, renovations and carport.KCC Response.“Council wish to support this application bringing a previously derelict property back to useful purpose”.Finances.Account balance as of 5th September 2015.Community Acc £24,759.17 Money Manager acc. £11,050.34 giving a total of £35,809.51.The contribution to British Legion for three Poppy Wreaths has been increased from £60 to £75. County Cllr Kath Robert-Jones raised awareness to Council that during the next financial year funding by PCC for villages halls will decrease by 50% and the following year will cease completely. It is expected that KCC would wish to meet this shortfall when making Village Hall grants. Council felt that it would be able to meet this additional financial commitment.Vale of Montgomery Rural Cluster.Cllr.Owen Stanier reported on the ‘Vale of Montgomery Rural Cluster Meeting’ held on Tuesday 22nd September 2015.“The meeting was brief, as it was quickly realised that the ‘Service Transfer Catalogue’ provided to the Cluster by Powys C.C. was incomplete and inaccurate. Maps of service provision areas also were not provided or to hand, and consequently it was thought inappropriate to attempt any assessment of possible savings until in possession of the necessary fuller particulars. It was decided that the next Cluster meeting should be scheduled for 3rd November in order to afford Powys C.C. adequate time to provide the outstanding information. The role of Clerk to the Cluster was considered and Glenys Smith was appointed to the position. It was noted that the acting Clerk had been using Unity Trust for on-line banking and that she could recommend this bank to other councils who may be seeking to move to on-line banking.O. Stanier and K. Lander were tasked to ask Angela Feltham if she holds any maps in respect of Street Cleaning and Grounds Maintenance for the Kerry C.C. area. They were also asked to try to ascertain who carries out the grass cutting around the toilet block at Kerry and at the cemetery in SarnREQUESTS FOR GRANT FUNDING.Local groups are invited to submit applications for grant funding from Kerry CommunityCouncil. Applications should be made in writing to the Clerk detailing the purpose of the grant and enclosing up to date accounts and bank details no later than MONDAY 16TH NOVEMBER 2015 Grants will be awarded at the November meeting and payment made at the end of May 2016.Contact the Clerk: Mrs Angela Feltham, at Bryn Gethin, Tregynon, Newtown.
