Finding Information
There are many different places to look for the information you will need for your blog.
Remember the two golden rules:
1)DO NOT COPY, make sure you write in your own words. You could end up braking the law, also people don’t want to read the same thing they can find on Google.
2)SUMMARISE, people who log onto your blog do not want to read chunks of writing!
Uploading Information
STEP 1 – Log into your Blog Dashboard
You can create a post for the FRONT PAGE of your blog,
OR
you can create a NEW PAGE which only has ONE POST.
Click on ADD NEW to make a new post.
Click on ADD NEW to make a new page.
Click SAVE DRAFT as you go.
Once you have finished, click publish.
Uploading a Photo to a Post
Make sure you have SAVED the picture you like and it is somewhere easy for you to remember.
Open the post or page you would like your picture in.
Click on the Upload/Insert picture link.
A new window will open. Click BROWSE
Select the picture you want.
Click UPLOAD
Click SAVE ALL CHANGES
Your picture will appear at the top of your blog, as some crazy writing.
Copy the text and paste it to where you would like your picture to appear, if you have other writing in the post/page.
Once you have finished click PUBLISH.
Uploading Music or Audio to your Blog
Make sure you have SAVED the music or audio file you like and it is somewhere easy for you to remember.
Open the post or page you would like your music in.
Click the Upload/Insert audio button.
A new window will open. Click BROWSE.
When the upload box opens up, follow the same instructions as inserting the picture into your blog.
Uploading Videos to your Blog
Make sure you have SAVED the video file you like and it is somewhere easy for you to remember.
Open the post or page you would like your video in.
Click the Upload/Insert Video Button
A new window will open. Click BROWSE.
When the upload box opens up, follow the same instructions as inserting the picture into your blog.
If you want to upload a video from a website, the following instructions will show you how, using youtube as an example.
Once you have found the video you want, click the SHARE button.
Click the EMBED video.
There will be a large chunk of crazy writing for you to copy.
Make sure you copy it all.
Paste the crazy text into the post/page you would like the video to appear in, if you have writing already make sure you paste it in the exact spot you would like it.
