Goal: 5 yds. Outside the End line

Free Throw Line: 6’ Long and 30’ in front of the Endline

Number of Players: Seven players on each team

-Five players on each team for Indoor play

Equipment: Intermediate size Football/ Jerseys are worn to distinguish teams

# of Points Scored: 3 pts. = when the ball enters the hole in the Board (Hoop – for Indoors)

1 pt. = when the ball hits the face of the board

*Free Throws will score the same

Dead Ball will result from the following:

Violation of Back Court Rule

Traveling: a player takes more than 2 steps forward towards goal after receiving the ball.

Penalty- Loss of possession – player puts ball on ground and nearest opponent can immediately put ball in play.

Personal Foul: any player causing personal contact with opponent.

Penalty – Player leaves game until goal is made by either team.

a)Offended team will be given possession at the spot of the infraction

b)If a player is fouled in the act of trying to score – the goal will be counted if it scores and Fouled player is given a free throw

Technical Foul: Diving on a loose ball/ intentionally kicking the ball/ and any foul seen by the official as being flagrant or unsportsmanlike conduct.

Penalty – Player leaves game until goal is made by either team after offended team is given one free throw.

Out-of-Bounds Ball: The opponent of the player who last touched the ball inbounds is given possession.

a)From the Front Court: Pass must be Lateral or Back

b)From Back Court: Pass must be thrown anywhere in the Back Court.

*Penalty for violation: Loss of Possession

*Out of Bounds rule a & b applies to any dead ball on the field of play (not going out-of-bounds).

Incomplete Passes:

a)If offense team attempts a forward pass which is incomplete through no interference by defense – possession of the ball will be given to nearest defensive player. Opponent must be 3’ away.

b)If the Forward Pass is incomplete because the defense is the cause of the incompletion/ the ball is a Free Ball and may be played by either team (unless it rolls out-of-bounds).

c)Any incomplete lateral pass which remains on the field of play is a Free Ball and may be played by either team.

Five Second Rule – each player has only 5 seconds to keep possession of the ball. Violation results in loss of possession.

Ten Second Rule – each team will have 10 seconds to get the ball from their Back Court to their Front Court. Violation results in loss of possession.

Back Court Rule – all passes made from the Endline (out-of-bounds) of your Back Court must enter the Back court before entering Front Court.

REMEMBER:

1)All attempted shots for score must be thrown with one hand – an overhand forward pass. A Push shot will not count as a goal.

2)Any attempt on the part of the defense to goal tend is dead ball area (deliberately hit out attempted goal shall result in awarding of 3 pt. goal to shooting team.

3)An attempted shot which is blocked by the defensive player and remains on the field of play is a Free Ball and may be played by any player.

4)An attempted shot which is blocked by a defensive player and rolls out-of-bounds will be given to the defense out-of-bounds
