International trade, finance and statistics (double degree program)

Preparation on the program“International trade, finance and statistics” is carried out by the academic teaching staff of the department of applied management, economic theory, mathematical statistics and econometrics.

SamaraStateUniversity of Economics together with the economic faculty of Justus-Liebig University Giessen (Germany) implement studying on the program of double degree program. In terms of this program students get two diplomas: master’s degree of Justus-Liebig University Giessen(MasterofArtsinEconomics) and master’s degree of Economicsof Samara State University of Economics.

In the process of studying analytical, consultative and scientific-research competences as well as skills of profound professional practical problem understanding in the field of modern international economy.

The program is based on the two teaching structures of both universities. This course is fully certificated. Students of SSEU can be admitted after completing Bachelor’s degree or completing four years of studying which is equal to the four years of Bachelor’s degree according to the European System of Education. For Samara students the condition for taking part in this program is the admission in the Master’s Program in Samara State University of Economics and fluent English.

The first year students study at SSEU, the second year – in the Justus-Liebig University Giessen. The system of assessment is based on ESTC, credit system of assessment. The program involves 5 modules in the host-university, 6 credits each. Students of SSEU spend 2 semesters (10months) in Giessen, at the end of studying they prepare diploma theses. The working language is English. Supervisory is implemented collaterally by the professor from Giessen and by the professor from Samara.

The students of SSEU get 30 credits on the condition of the first academic year successful fulfillment. The rest 30 credits they are going to get during the second year in Giessen. After meeting the requirements of the exchange program the students get two master’s degree diplomas in Samara and in Gieseen.

Students taking part in this exchange program pay the tuition fees in SSEU (in case of paying basis) and don’t pay in the host-university. Additional expenses (admission fee, social due fee, travel costs, accommodation costs and medical insurance) are paid by the students.
