A percentage of the world’s population does not have enough food and we have way more than we need.6,200 children die every day from starvation... and that is not okay.

We believe we are all connected as children of Godand we are called to care for one another.

Therefore, we arepartnering with FMSCso that we can reduce the impact of hunger in our world by feeding the hungry in body, mind, and spirit.

Why we are partnering with Feed My Starving Children:

• In 2014 Feed My Starving Children was able to produce over 190 million meals for children in Haiti, Nicaragua, the Philippines, Zimbabwe, and 60 other countries. More than 46 million of those were from MobilePackTM events.
• In 2015, FMSC hopes to produce at least 240 million meals - more than55 million meals through the MobilePackTM program
• Each meal costs only 22 cents
• Food scientists from General Mills and Cargill developed a specially formulated, highly nutritious meal that contains all of the daily nutrients a starving child needs to survive.
• Feed My Starving Children partners with other organizations world-wide to distribute these

life-giving meals. They have ship food to over 60 countries.

• All FMSC food is packaged by volunteers. More than half of volunteers are under age 18.
• 92% of the total donations go directly to feeding starving children

Why should you or your company sponsor the Incarnation/FMSC?

The expression think globally, act locally comes to mind. When you support a MobilePackTM event you are helping to strengthen our local community through the volunteer experience at the same time you are providing daily sustenance to thousands of malnourished and chronically hungry children around the world through the meals packed by those volunteers.

Your financial sponsorship directly affects the lives of children around the world.

• The cost of a 1 million meal MobilePackevent is $220,000 (22 cents a meal) and the money goes directly to purchasing the food supplies for all the meals that are packed.
• $500 - Covers the cost of food packaged by 10 volunteers during one shift
• $1,500 - Sponsors a class of 30 student volunteers who will pack about 6,250 meals
• $1,000 - Feeds twelve people for one year
• $2,500 - Covers the cost of 11,364 meals, enough to feed 31 kids for one year.
• $8,760 - Feeds a village of 100 for a year.
• This program focuses on the nourishment of children, ensuring healthy childhoods that lead to healthy adult citizens and leaders that the recipient countries so desperately need.

Your financial sponsorship makes it possible for kids to help kids.

• On average, one volunteer packs $50 worth of food during a shift.
• For the last five events, Incarnation has partnered with teachers at Centennial Middle School and Chippewa Middle School. Hundreds of students were onsite packing food each year.
• Consider sponsoring a certain number of students at $50 per student. Or sponsor a cell of 16-20 volunteers at $1,000. One cell of volunteers typically produces about 6,000 meals during a shift.

When you provide financial sponsorship, you also have the opportunity to volunteer together for a hands-on experience of feeding the hungry.

• Volunteering together builds a sense of team.
• When you volunteer as a team, you also have the option of using other space at Incarnation for lunch or for a team meeting.
• On average, one volunteer packs $50 worth of food during a shift. In order to participate with volunteers, we ask that your sponsorship amount at least cover the cost of the food to be packed by your volunteers.

• Goal: Raise $220,000 to pack 1 million meals and feed2,740 children for one year.

• Accomplishments from previous years events: Raised $473,635 to host 9,648 volunteers to pack 2,616,791 meals, enough to feed almost 7,200 children for a year.
• 2014: Raised $110,000 to host 1,557 volunteers who packaged 466,560 meals which fed 1,281 children for a year
• 2013: Raised $102,611 to host 1,598 volunteers who packaged 466,560 meals which fed 1,281 children for a year
• 2012: Raised $92,000 to host 1,900 volunteers who packaged 474,768 mealse which fed 1,301 children for a year
• 2011: Raised $95,000 to host 1,750 volunteers who packaged 504,000 meals which fed 1,393 children for a year
• 2010: Raised over $75,000 to host 1546 volunteers who packaged 441,936 meals which will feed 1,210 children for a year
• 2008: Raised $68,074 to host 1754 volunteers who packaged 455,412 meals which fed 1,247 children for a year.

What is Feed My Starving Children?

FMSC is a Christian organization that is dedicated to providing nourishing food to starving children worldwide. They provide significant volunteer service opportunities for youth groups, families, business groups, congregations and mission-focused organizations, at their permanent packing facilities in the TwinCities and Chicagoland, as well as at MobilePack events across the nation.

FMSC’s mission is Feeding God’s Starving Children Hungry in Body and Spirit. We and they believe that by providing nourishment, we give millions of children the opportunity to live more meaningful lives by growing physically and spiritually.

What is a mobile pack event?

The MobilePack program is simple: churches, businesses, or whole communities host a meal-packing event at their location by providing the space, the volunteers, and the funds to purchase the four main ingredients of our scientifically formulated food. Our volunteers will pack the meals in a series of two-hour packing shifts; we will then ship the food to FMSC’s mission partners in the most impoverished countries all around the world. MobilePackTM Events are an incredible service opportunity for people of all ages and backgrounds.

What ingredients are in the meal package?
The meal package consists of long grain white rice, dehydrated soy protein, 20 vitamins and minerals and dehydrated mixed vegetables. It has a shelf life of three years and can be prepared simply by boiling in water.

Why does FMSC focus on providing food vs. teaching how to independently live?

Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) realizes that all other development work will not be effective until there is “food in the belly” of a starving, malnourished person. Their food starts the development cycle and we as an organization make long-term commitments to their partners to be part of the self-sufficiency solution for the people who consume our food.

FMSC never charges mission groups for our food; it is always donated. The food donation allows their mission partners to then reallocate their funds to efforts in sustainable development, education, and the spiritual growth of the children and their communities.

How does FMSC ensure that the food gets to where it’s supposed to go?

To ensure that FMSC food gets to those most in need, they work directly with their mission partners located within the countries we serve. Their food is distributed directly to orphanages, schools and clinics. Distribution partners such as Convoy of Hope, Cross International, Love A Child, UMCOR, Samaritans International, OC Ministries, Reach Now International, For Haiti With Love and many others ensure the food reaches the children in need. This unique partnership allows them to focus their resources on packaging food efficiently and thereby allowing their mission partners (who know their country the best) to determine how to maximize the impact of their food through their distribution channels, i.e. schools and orphanages.

They track all of our food shipments and require documentation verifying that the food is reaching the people in need. They also travel and visit their largest mission partners on a regular basis to ensure that the food is being used properly.
