• I can discuss how particular perspectives of the same event are portrayed in various media texts
• I can recognize howauthor’s selection of vocabulary choices in texts may affect the reader

• I can compare perspectives represented on an issue in articles from different times and places
• I can analyse and identify how socio-cultural values, attitudes and beliefs are conveyed in texts.

• I can skim readsections of a persuasive text and identify the main contention, key arguments in linked paragraphs and supporting evidence in order to locate points for building rebuttal or counter argument
