Horses and/or riders entered in Introductory and Opportunity Classes can cross enter into the recognized classes but require the rider, owner or horse to have memberships in USEF/USDF and pay the USEF drug fee. Opportunity Classes are not eligible for any USEF/USDF awards or qualifications. These classes do not require the rider, owner or horse to have memberships in USEF/USDF or pay the USEF drug fee. Competitors are required to correctly use an official USEF/USDF entry form and are subject to the rules and specifications of the current USEF Rule Book and possible USEF sanctioned drug testing.

Management reserves the right to cancel, split, or combine classes.

ENTRIES: Mail entries to the Show Secretary. Entries must be received by the closing date ~ $25

late fee. $10 office fee for each change made to a single entry after the closing date.

FEES: Make checks payable to BCHP. Returned check will be assessed a $25 fee.

Times: Times will be on the website at the Competition/Dressage link. A preliminary schedule will be posted by Wednesday please check again Friday. Email addresses need to be printed and legible.

Stabling: Stalls available at private facilities on Park. Permanent Stalls(11 x 11), stall doors provided. $40/night. Limited permanent day stalls (12x12)w/doors at show grounds for $30 per day .

Accommodations: Holiday Inn Express, Hellertown, Hampton Inn, Rt 611 Doylestown, (215)343-8400, EconoLodge Quakertown (215-538-3000), Bucksville House Bed & Breakfast 610-847-8948.

Footing: Three standard outdoor competition rings, sand and screenings mixture, one with rubber. Enclosed warm-up ring, sand and screenings mixture. Grass lunging areas.

Professional Services: Contact numbers posted the day of the show in the secretary stand. An EMT will be on grounds.

Other: Food available on grounds. All dogs MUST be leashed at all times! If riding a musical kur, competitor must provide their own sound equipment & technician.

USEF rules go into effect upon arrival at the show grounds. Every class offered herein which is covered by the rules and specifications of the current USEF Rule Book will be conducted and judged in accordance therewith. IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT PROTECTIVE HEADGEAR BE WORN AT ALL TIMES WHEN MOUNTED! Bridle numbers must be worn at all times when a horse is out of the trailer.

Effective March 1, 2011, for dressage: Anyone mounted on a horse must wear protective headgear except those riders age 18 and over while on horses that are competing only in FEI levels and tests at the Prix St. Georges level and above (including FEI Young Rider Tests, the USEF Developing Prix St. Georges Test and the USEF Brentina Cup Test).

ATTENTION COMPETITORS – Each competitor is responsible for supplying management with correct association numbers (USDF, USEF) for horse, owner, rider and trainer, before the day(s) of the competition. The scores of competitors who fail to supply correct numbers may not be counted toward national awards.

MOTORIZED VEHICLE STATEMENT- Minors who do not have a valid driver’s license which allows them to operate a motorized vehicle in the state in which they reside will not be permitted to operate a motorized vehicle of any kind including, but not limited to, golf carts, motorcycles, scooters, or farm utility vehicles on the competition grounds of licensed competitions. Minors who have a valid temporary license may operate the above described motorized vehicles as long as they are accompanied by an adult with a valid driver’s license.The parent(s), legal guardian(s), or individual who signs the entry blank as a parent or guardian of a minor operating a motorized vehicle in violation of this rule are solely responsible for any damages, claims, losses or actions resulting from that operative. Violations of this rule will be cause for sanctions against the parent(s), guardian(s) and/or trainer(s) who are responsible for the child committing the offense. Penalties may include exclusion of the child, parent(s), guardian(s), and/or trainer(s) from the competition grounds for the remainder of the competition and charges being filed against any of the above individuals in accordance with Chapter 6. Wheelchairs and other mobility assistance devices for individuals with disabilities are exempt from this rule.

Team Competition Information

Teams of 3 and 4 rider to ride as team for Awards in the following Classes. Cash prize and neck ribbons awarded to Champion Teams in each division.

Division 1 – USDF Intro A and Intro B

Division 2 – USDF Intro B and Intro C

Division 3 – Opportunity Classes Training 1 and Training 2

Division 4 – Opportunity Classes First Level 1 and First Level 2

Division 5 – Second Level and Above (team can ride at different levels)

Division 6 – Mixed Level Teams

Team members to use the USDF Region 1 Entry form and a Team Form that lists the participants. Each member must fill in an entry and all signatures must be included. Introductory and Opportunity Classes do not need USDF, USEF memberships or USDF HID numbers. Please indicate name of Team on the entry form.

Individual Championship Divisions

Horse/Rider combinations that have competed in any BCHP dressage show, recognized or schooling are eligible to participate. A score of 60% is required to be considered. Rider/horse combination needs to ride at least “Test #2” in a level at the October 20th show. Please indicate on entry that you are participating in this Division.

Competitors riding in the Introductory Class C, Opportunity Training Test 2 and Opportunity First Level Test 2 do not need USDF/USEF rider, owner, trainer memberships or horse ID numbers to participate. Competitors can in addition be part of the Team Competition. Special awards will be presented for each participant.
