Dollie Ruth Bryan rejoined her eternal companion, Matthew Perry Bryan, on Thursday July 6, 2006 in Payson, UT. Dollie was born April 11, 1912 in St. Louis, MO. to Louisa and Robert Aldrich. She was known for her bright blue eyes, sparkling smile and sweet spirit. On April 9, 1930 she married her brother John's best friend, Matthew Perry Bryan. For several years they ran a dude ranch in House Springs, MO. Rivermont Ranch, where she had a western shop. In 1942 they moved to Calif. for Perry's health where they raised their three children but their hearts were in the Ozarks of Missouri. She was a loving wife and mother and support to her family. In 1956 she and Perry moved back to Missouri where they lived on a farm and he shod horses. Ruth always dreamed of owning a store where she could sell Ozark arts and crafts. A few years later her dream came true and she opened the Ozark Country Store. She loved running her store and meeting people. While running the store she started writing articles on cooking for the local paper. She loved to cook and entertain. She had a passion for antique dolls and at one time had over 200. When Perry's health failed she sold her store to spend more time with him. After his death she moved to Eminence, MO. In 2001 she moved to Utah to be near her daughter. She was baptized into the LDSChurch when she was 90 and at 91 took out her endowments in the TimpanogosTemple where she was sealed to her husband. Her motto was "Live, Laugh and Love" and that was how she lived her life. She was greatly loved by those who knew her. Ruth leaves behind two children, Juanita (Keith) Ranck, Mt. Pleasant, UT. and Leslie (Virginia) Bryan, Eminence, MO., three grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, a brother-in-law, Russell (Virginia) Bryan and many friends. She will be missed.
