Dear Parents,
Bonjour! Following the success of the French Club at Bathampton Primary school, I would like to offer an opportunity to all pupils to join the lunchtime French Clubs.
My name is Sylvie Swindells and I am a French native qualified, trained, CRB checked licensee for La Jolie Ronde. I feel passionately that La Jolie Ronde and Skoldo offer all children a fantastic opportunity coupled with a great deal of fun!
This is what the French classes provide:
· A unique structured language course established for 30 years
· An excellent/native accent for the children to copy
· Small classes with plenty of individual attention, learning with children of their own age
· Conversation, basic grammar, games, role-plays, rhymes and stories
· An awareness of France, its geography and culture
· Weekly reports on classes progress
· French certificates awarded on completion of each programme
Classes are held at Bathampton Primary school on Mondays lunch time for Y4 – Y6 (12h10 – 12h40) and Y3 – Y4 (12h40 – 13h10) and on Fridays Y1 – Y2. Please note the Reception children will start French on Fridays (12h40 -13h10) after the Christmas holidays after settling well into their new class and routine. I’ll send an enrolment form late November for the reception children.
An integral part of the course is the fun activity book and interactive CD, to help with your child’s learning and lasts for a minimum of a year, at a cost of £15.00 (La Jolie Ronde program for Y1 to Y4 pupils) and £7.50 (Skoldo program for Y5 & Y6 pupils). Classes will be offered at the rate of £4.50 per lesson, paid termly in advance. Demand is high and places are limited to 12 per class. Classes can start from a minimum of 6 children.
There will be a block of 10 sessions:
Mondays sessions will start on Monday 29th September 2014: Y5 & Y6: Skoldo French book 1
Y3 & Y4: Salut Céline & Antoine (LJR)
Friday sessions will start on Friday 26th September 2014: Y1 & Y2: Les aventures de Minou et Trottine et les saisons (LJR)
If you wish to enrol your child/ren, please fill in the returnable slip below and return to the school with the payment of £60.00 (for Y1 to Y4 pupils) and £52.50 (for Y5 &Y6 pupils) by September 15th 2014. I will reply and let you know whether I still have places. Thank you.
