MEETING MINUTES
MAHWAH RECREATION COMMITTEE
The meeting was called to order at 7:48 pm by Chairman Harry Williams.
Roll call was taken and members in attendance were: Rudy Brito, Ward Donigian, Jean Lascar, Terry Mostyn, Julia Smith and Harry Williams. Also in attendance was Dawn DaPuzzo, Recreation Director.
The flag salute was followed by the Sunshine Law announcement. On a motion by Harry Williams, seconded by Rudy Brito, the meeting minutes of November 14, 2007 were approved. All in favor, motion carried.
There was no public in attendance.
Old Business
Tree Lighting – Harry thanked Terry and everyone for their help at the tree lighting. It went very well and everyone had a good time. The cupcakes were very good and leftovers were given to the Senior Center and DPW workers. Some leftover bears were packed up for next year, but we will need to order more.
Copier – the printer/copier was delivered today to town hall. The DPW will bring it to the Recreation office.
Bunny Suit – The bunny suit will be ordered before the end of the year.
Mahwah Day Resolution – the Mahwah Day resolution will be finalized with Dawn.
New Business
Seniors Report – The senior’s trip to the Christmas show at the Tropicana was great. The holiday luncheon will be on December 20.
Recreation Director’s Report
Home Depot still has not paid $500 for Mahwah Day. Terry will call them.
2 new Polaroid cameras were ordered. The film is in.
The basketball courts at C.P. are not done yet. They will be completed in the spring.
General Comments
Discussed whether or members need to attend the Saturday budget meeting with the Town Council.
On a motion by Terry Mostyn, seconded by Jean Lascar, the meeting was adjourned at 8:12 pm. All in favor, motion carried.
The next meeting will take place on Wednesday, January 23, 2007, at 7:30 pm in the Recreation building.
