Minutes of a Plans Assessment Committee meeting held on Thursday, 15March 2018 at the Parish Centre, Gerald’s Way, Chalford at 9.30am

PAC 03.15.03.18 MINUTES OF LAST MEETING

Acceptance of the minutes of 1 February2018was proposed by Cllr Ramsey. This was seconded by Cllr Ellis and unanimously agreed.

PAC 06.15.03.18 CORRESPONDENCE
The clerk from Bisley-with-Lypiatt Parish Councl had sent a copy of their letter of complaintto SDC planning department regarding inconsistent planning decisions requesting that Chalford Parish Council support their complaint if they have experienced similar problems. It was agreed that if Chalford Parish were to make a complaint to SDC planning, it would probably be done in a different way. It was agreed to refer the matter to Full Council with the recommendation we do not support the complaint.Referral: Full Council

PAC 07.15.03.18 RESULTS
It was confirmed the appeal for planning application for a two-storey dwelling at Bluebell Rise (S.17/2037/HHOLD) had been dismissed, but a subsequent application for a single storey extension (S.18/0094/HHOLD) had just been given permission.

PAC 08.15.03.18Pre-application consultation for Court View garages site

Cllr Beioley reminded the Committee the new owner of the above site would be attending the PAC meeting on 5th April with a pre-application proposal and asked councillors to view the site before the meeting.

PAC 09.15.03.18 NEW PLANS

1519 2 Meadow Cottages, High Street: New rear conservatory and first floor balcony to the front of the

property It was noted a similar application in 2005 for a balcony overlooking the canal had been refused owing to lack of detail. After viewing the plans Cllr Beioley proposed "we support plan 1519". This was seconded by Cllr Ellis and unanimously agreed.

1520 Holte End, The Ridge, Bussage: Fell of Sycamore TPO 110, leave the base of the stump as a home

for insects and replace the Sycamore with a smaller tree more suitedto a densely developed residential area in terms of leafcover/shading Cllr Ellis proposed "we refer this to the SDC Tree Officer". This was seconded by Cllr Ramsey and unanimously agreed.

1521Springside, Marle Hill:Cherry T1- Fell

Cllr Ellis proposed "we support 1521". This was seconded by Cllr Beioley and agreed. There was one abstention.

1522 Selangor, Old Neighbourhood:Erection of chimney on gable wall

After clarification of the site location it was agreed the new chimney would not be visually intrusive to neighbouring properties. Cllr Ellis proposed "we support 1522". This was seconded by Cllr Baldwin unanimously agreed. There was one abstention.

1523 Vale House, High Street: Yew tree front garden - reduce points by approx 30% and reshape

crown, to 2M approx off ground.Hazel - remove limbs to left hand side of garage. Laural hedges - Trimming back road side as over hanging road. Yew Tree - Reduce laterals as over hanging road and street sign. Cllr Beioley proposed "we support plan 1523". This was seconded by Cllr Ramsey and unanimously agreed.

The next meeting is to be held on Thursday 5 April 2018. There being no further business, the meeting was closed at 10.10am.
