Be an important part of our success by supporting one of the PREMIER Fastpitch softball programs in the Southeastern United States. The Georgia Fire has teams in all age groups and competes at local, State and National tournaments with earnest and dedication. With over ten (10) teams each year since 2002, the program continues to grow, and continues to fulfill its mission to promote a superior athletic organization for Girls Fast-Pitch Softball. The organization strives to help players develop athletically, academically, and socially, by providing not only athletic opportunities, but re-instilling educational, leadership, and life lessons. While we strive to develop our players into collegiate level athletes, we also want them to become great students and citizens.
The organization continues to differentiate itself from other Travel level organizations, such as offering an annual scholarship (Jessie James Memorial Scholarship), and bringing former college players into the organization as coaches to truly help our young ladies get some first hand knowledge and teaching from someone who has done what they aspire to do; play softball at the collegiate level. With additional funding for the organization we will be increasing the annual award for the Jessie James Memorial Scholarship, as well as moving to provide a stipend for these former college players to give their time and energy to young ladies preparing themselves for college level play. In addition, with additional funding we intend to improve our ability to support each team financially, as well as secure additional facilities for practice, tournaments and indoor training over the winter months.
Our teams compete on average at over 15 tournaments per year, throughout the southeastern United States, and some are playing all over the country at college exposure tournaments and attending the hard sought ASA National tournament each year. The tournaments where our teams participate are usually attended by 40-70 teams, and hundreds of spectators, not to mention the thousands of people who visit the Georgia Fire website. As an Organization sponsor, you will receive tremendous exposure throughout the year with your association with the Georgia Fire. Georgia Fire is a registered 501c (3) charitable corporation, who through it’s volunteer coaches and board offers fast-pitch softball at a highly competitive level to young ladies in all age groups in the Southeast United States. Through the support provided by team sponsors and team boosters, we are able to acquire the necessary equipment, supplies, training and uniforms to keep these players on the field. In addition the organization provides an annual scholarship (Jessie James Memorial Scholarship) to a Georgia Fire player, and through our efforts, and the hard work of our talented young ladies, since 2001 over 70 Georgia Fire players have obtained some level of financial assistance at the college level, enabling many of these players the opportunity to obtain a college degree when for some, that opportunity might not have existed without softball.
