WORKSHOP “INNOVATION, PUBLIC-PRIVATE PARTNERSHIP AND SERVICE LANDSCAPES ”
Organized by:
Djellal Faridah ()
Merlin-Brogniart Céline ()
This session is devoted to the analysis of the relation between innovation and service activities. Its goal is to reassess the relation between services and territories while insisting more particularly (but not exclusively) on innovation and employment topics, and the role of service activities within Public Private Partnerships.
It is clear that one cannot understand the behavior of services without going through the analysis of their internal organization or more generally speaking the productive organization in which they are embedded. Public Private Partnership is one of the various organizations in which service activities are highly represented (health sector, educational sector, etc.). They lead to particular innovation forms (social innovation, organizational innovation…) and trajectories that help structuring networks and spaces.
Internationalization, innovation, ICT integration, are important factors explaining evolution and transformation regarding services and are at the basis of their space and territorial logics and trajectories.
On the whole, this session will focus on the following items :
- Innovation, Public-Private Networks
- Public-Private Partnership, elderly services and ageing ;
- Health services, networks and territories ;
- Local and regional policies toward services : comparative approaches ;
Expected paper can be both theoretical or empirical as well. The articulation of analyses and researches resulting from different disciplinary fields (economists, geographers, urban planners, management scientists or sociologists…) will be welcome.
We are planning to publish selected contributions in a special issue of a high-quality journal in the field of regional development and economy services.
