Human Rights
A group project of three, analysing the implications of legalising euthanasia in Ireland. Personal role: coordinated the group’s research objectives, researched the subject from a comparative perspective with reference to other countries and legal systems. Created a visual representation of the project and assisted with thewriting and editingof the project in portfolio format. Result: 2H1
Government and Politics of Ireland
Individual project on Irish general elections and the effects that leader’s debates have on voter behaviour. This was accomplished through secondary data analysis, by analysing statistical polling data over a twenty year period in the area of leader’s debates and general elections, it was concluded that a win in a debate did result in an increase in vote share for the victor. Result: 1H

2007 – 2009Senior Underwriter/Team Manager
KBC Homeloans, 52 South Mall, Cork
- Managed a team of credit underwriters ensuring that work delegated was completed within theservice level agreement framework and to a professional standard.
- Implemented a more time efficient procedure for case analysis and presentation. This resulted in faster review times for new business and a more accurate system of reporting cases.
- Managed strategic clients to guarantee high quality service and a productive business relationship, which resulted in increased volumes of business.
- Analysed new mortgage applications and determined if they would be approved or declined in line with credit policy using sign off discretion authorised by the directors of the bank.

- Access management for one of Ireland’s biggest bar/nightclub venues.
- Greeting patrons in a professional and courteous manner, setting the tone for the attitude of the venue and a positive experience for the patron.
- Working as part of a team to ensure the implementation of the bar/nightclub’s comprehensive security and safety policy.
- Monitoring the queuing system on the public walkway during exceptionally busy periods, managing large numbers of people in an orderly manner.
