Career Day at Edgemere Elementary School
Looking for presenters
Dear Guest Speaker,
Edgemere Elementary would like to invite you to our “Career Day” which will be on May 19, 2016. Our day will begin at 11:30 am and end at 2:30 pm. We are seeking candidates to speak at our Career Day. We would be delighted to have you participate with us on such a worthwhile project. Our students certainly enjoy listening to a professional such as you. We appreciate you giving us a small portion of your time to speak to our students regarding the value of education. Your words of advice on information regarding your career and personal experiences will promote encouragement and success to our students at Edgemere Elementary School. Your presentation can range from your own background, experience, education, and to the day-to-day duties one might expect on the job. You can share with students some of the obstacles you have had to overcome and the importance of doing well in school and not giving up.
Each speaker has the option to speak to students in the classroom and rotate to different classrooms OR to set up on a table in the gymnasium and speak to students as they visit your area. I highly encourage you to bring any displays, pamphlets, or handouts that would help students get an idea of what your career is about. If there is a company vehicle that you would be able to bring, we would be happy to make arrangements to display it.
