1. ALL BACKPACKS WILL BE LEFT AT THE FRONT OF THE ROOM UPON ENTERING.

2. Bring all required material to class each day:

3.Be in class and SEATED before bell rings.

If you are not in your seat when the bell rings, you will be counted tardy, no questions asked.

4.You will be given 3 free passes to leave the room for the school year. These will be used to your discretion. Unused passes will accumulate for extra points at the end of the semester.

5.Spend time studying Biology. Not studying Biology often will be reflected in your grade.

6. HOMEWORK assignments are due immediately after roll check. Any paper turned in after this time is LATE. Late papers will be accepted as follows:

1 day late -20 points

2 days late-30 points

3 days late -40 points

More than 3not accepted

7. MAKE UP WORK: If your are absent from class, it is YOUR responsibility to ask about assignments missed, work due, etc. Alsocheck class website. Makeup Tests & Quizzes will be made up in the after school testing room.

8. TUTORIALS – Tutorial time will be 7:45 – 8:15AM or 3:20 – 3:45PM. Please make arrangements as needed.

9. GRADING: 40% Daily (Homework, Labs, Quizzes, Daily)

60% Major (Tests, Projects, Formal Lab Writeups)

11. LAB RULES - The lab is an extension of the classroom. Lab groups will be assigned by the teacher. Horseplay and any other unnecessary activities and violations of any safety rules will result in immediate removal from the class that day and the student will have to make the lab up on their own time. Students will be responsible for any damaged lab equipment. A safety contract will be signed by all students.

12. ONLINE TEXTBOOK - Each student will receive a username and password and have access to an online textbook resource, Sapling. See link on teacher website. Students will also have option to checkout a textbook for home use.
