OFF-SEASON:

1.  Get in the weight room and work hard! It’s not a social time, but a time to get better.

2.  Perform agilities and jump training– quickness and vertical leaps are vital for volleyball.

3.  Enroll in a weights class during the school year, if possible. We don’t have time to lift during the season. Continual strength building is important.

4.  Support other teams. Spirit is contagious – if you generate it, it will spread. You may reap the benefits during your season.

5.  Attend GHS team camp.

6.  Conditioning – stay in shape throughout the summer – run, bike, swim laps, etc…

7.  Attend individual sessions, other camps, summer leagues, private lessons, etc… You have to work to get better. It doesn’t just happen.

8.  Keep your goals in mind – what do you want to achieve personally? Team achieve?

9.  Encourage your teammates! You are responsible for each other both in and out of season. Keep each other committed!
