Margie Warner presents “You’re My Hero”, Monday, June 29 at 10:30 a.m. With Margie, it’s always fun and interactive and there will be refreshments and materials to get you started as a reading hero.

Stories, crafts and games for children age 3-6, beginning Monday, July 6, 10:30 a.m., Come create water bottle bubble blowers, super hero masks, balloon bounce and much more.

Meet a local hero, Monday, July 20, at 10:30 a.m. Deborah Ringen from Visiting Nurses of the Lower Valley will be here to amaze you with her "Magic Powder". Learn how anyone can become a germ-conquering hero!

Scrapbooking with Leigh, Thursday, July 9; 4:30 p.m. for age 10 and older. Back by popular demand, Leigh will teach us how to create a memory book with photos and more.

Book Discussion (JWMS students): Turn Right at Machu Picchu, Thursday, July 16 at 5:00 p.m. Earn credit for your summer reading as Sally Murray leads the discussion ofTurn Right at Machu Picchu: Rediscovering the Lost City one Step at a Time by Marc Adams. Refreshments will be served and each participant will receive a certificate of completion for their non-fiction requirement.

Book Discussion (VRHS students): 172 Hours on the Moon, Thursday, August 6, at 5:00 p.m., Valley students are invited to discuss, 172 Hours on the Moon by Johan Harstad. Sally Murray will the discussion and explore interesting topics surrounding the theme. Students who demonstrate that they have completed the book will receive credit for their fiction requirement. Food will be part of the fun!

Comic Construction, Wednesday, August 12 at 4:30 p.m. If you like super heroes, graphic novels, comics, or just like to draw, this is for you! Matt Ryan will perform a stage show demonstrating the art of drawing comics. This is open to all ages and everyone will have the opportunity to create at the end of the program.
