“Uncomfortable Life”
“The American Dream is a comfortable life. We seek the path of least resistance. The Bible speaks a lot about a comfortable life. The Bible also speaks of an uncomfortable life. Moses sought the uncomfortable life, although he could have been Pharaoh of Egypt. Moses refused to identify with Pharaoh’s daughter. He identified himself as a Hebrew. He chose the Hebrew life and wanted nothing to do with the Egyptians. He completely ignored the comfortable life. Every day of our lives, we are faced with a decision to choose the sensual desires or the spiritual life. Every day of our lives we have a choice: chose pleasure of sin or an association with Jesus. We have to make decisions based on faith. The decisions we make determine our destiny in life. We make one big decision to follow Jesus, then one million small decisions to define our destiny. To choose the unseen over the seen is uncomfortable. Nothing ever accomplished for God was accomplished in the comfort zone of life. God has a plan for our lives. Imagine how much more we can achieve in the body of Christ when we choose to live the uncomfortable life. The Apostles chose the uncomfortable life and they changed the world.”
