Boomer Bootcamp... Monday mornings 9:30-10:30 a.m; Instructor: Karen Hagen
Kick off your week with a BOOT, as in this morning Bootcamp workout, specifically designed for the active 50+ participant (but all ages welcome!). This class will have cardio components as well as muscle work segments - sometimes separate and sometimes done in challenging intervals. Equipment used will be free weights, squishy balls and stretchy bands. Karen is your Drill Sargeant, and she will ensure your Monday morning workout is a challenging one that gives you lots of energy for the week ahead. Participants are required to bring their own yoga mats. All other equipment is provided for use.
Candlelight Stretch & Relaxation... Thurs eves 8-9 p.m. Instructors: Dawn Erickson & Veronica Thai
Unwind from your stressful day with this hour that is meant to pamper you! Leave your day at the door & embark upon a relaxing candlelit journey to increasing flexibility throughout your major joints, & releasing tension in the tightest areas of your body with yoga-inspired stretches. 10 minutes of relaxation at the end of each session will help transition you to a peaceful mindset that will allow for better sleep. Participants are required to bring their own yoga mats and large bath towel to be used as an assist in some positions; Dyna-Bands are provided for use.
Cardio, CoreMore... Wed ams 9:30-10:30 a.m.; Instructors: Dawn Erickson & Val Hampton-Mumford
Specifically designed for the active 50+ enthusiast who seeks a well-rounded workout, or those new to fitness or recovering from injury. Each session will contain all components of fitness, including warm-up, cardiovascular workout (non-choreographed), muscular strength & endurance (M.S.E.) exercises, using free weights, gliders, squishy balls & stretchy bands for resistance, a core-focused segment, conducted mainly on the floor, & a good stretch at the end of the workout. This class may improve flexibility, balance & postural alignment, help maintain bone density & reduce pain associated with arthritis. But foremost, this workout will be functional & a bunch of fun! Participants are required to bring their own yoga mats. All other equipment is provided for use.
Tabata Blast... Friday mornings 9:15-10:15 a.m; Instructor: Judi Weaver
A total body workout! Legs, arms, cardio and core. Tabata is an interval based workout where you work at your own pace for the allocated time. Lots of options will be offered for different fitness levels. Equipment will be provided, and includes Figure 8 tubing, Bender Balls and Gliders. Participants are required to bring their own yoga mats.
Teen Yoga... Thurs eves 6-7 pm; Instructor: Nikki Jane
Teen Yoga is a blend of dynamic movements with traditional yoga postures, meditation, breath awareness and relaxation. Lovingly accompanied with today's top beats, develop flexibility, clarity, strength, motivation and balance in a nonjudgmental, feel good environment. You will learn invaluable techniques that you can take with you and utilize in your daily life. Join Nikki for a lighthearted, teen oriented practice. Feel restored and refocused after each class and throughout the rest of the week. All levels welcome from beginner and beyond. Participants are required to bring their own yoga mats.
Yoga Flow... Sat mornings 10-11 amMon evenings 7-8 pm; Instructors: Veronica Thai & Nikki Jane
Start your week(end) off with a rejuvenating and relaxing yoga session. Enjoy movement and flowthrough a variety of poses to exploreflexibility, strength and balance. All levels welcome. Participants are required to bring their own yoga mats.
