Judging
Your daughter will not be judged on what the emcee reads from her emcee card. It is for informational purposes only.
The color and style of her dress and casual wear is your choice and the judges will not take points off because they do not like the color. They may suggest other colors that they think may bring out your daughters features.
If she is missing teeth or has braces, no points will be deducted. That is a natural part of growing up. After all, this is a natural pageant!
If she has a cast on her arm or leg. Points will not be taken off. Her poise, personality and self confidence will add to her score.
If your daughter does not model perfectly on stage, no points will be deducted. Personality and beauty will outshine any X that is missed on stage.
Judges will take 1/10 of a point off for the following:
No hair extensions or falls are allowed in ages 2-9. If we suspect you child is wearing these, you will be asked.
No makeup is allowed in ages 2-9. In 10-up, please only use what is given as guidelines. In the teen and Ms. Groups, age appropriate is fine. Stay away from bright red lipstick and eye shadow that is too dark or bright.
No “glitz” pictures will be accepted. If you do not understand what “glitz” is, please call. If that is all you have, take a snap shot or bring a school picture. That will be better than having a “0” score in photogenic. Other places that have produced good scoring pictures are: The Picture People, Sears and Olan Mills.
