Murrells Inlet Soup-Off
2018 Registration Rules
Entry Fee $25.00 per Team
1. No Team will be allowed set-up before 8:00am
2. You must weigh down your Tents with Sand Bags or weighted Buckets
3. Decorating your area and displaying your Name and Soup is recommended
4. You are required to Display a sign that your Soup is Spicy HOT
5. You may take 15 minutes to unload your vehicle, then move to designated parking
6. No parking on Site unless you have a pre-approved Serving Vehicle
7. Competitors should plan to stay the duration of the event
8. Certain spots will have power available, provide your own extension cord
9. Gas or Electric Cookers will be the only acceptable forms of cooking and warming
10. You must provide a Thermometer and Hand Washing Station
11. All Cooking Pots must have covers
12. You must keep your cooking and prep areas clean to meet DHEC standards
13. You will not be allowed to serve any beverages
14. Personal Coolers containing Alcoholic Beverages are prohibited
15. We will provide Garbage containers and be responsible for the dumping of the refuse
16. We will provide serving Cups and Spoons
17. Each Team shall provide their own Paper Towels and Napkins
18. Each Team must cook at least 4 Gallons of Soup
19. Additional Soup Entries will be $15.00 per Team if Cooked in same Area
20. All Soups must be prepared and cooked on Site (dried beans can be soaked overnite)
21. All Food shall be from sources approved or considered satisfactory by DEHC
22. Each Team is responsible for cleaning their Area at the end of the Event
Welcome to the 9TH Annual Murrells Inlet Soup-Off hosted by Suck Bang Blow with Proceeds benefiting the Murrells Inlet Shriners. The event will be held on Saturday January 27, 2018 from 8:00am til 5:30pm with serving starting at 11:30am. Pre-Registration Deadline is January 24, 2018 for a $5.00 Discount on your first Soup entered. Please read the rules for Participation, then complete this form and return it to Stephen Pease (843-651-7960) 3393-Hwy 17 Bus. Murrells Inlet, SC 29576 with your $25.00 Entry Fee enclosed made payable to SBB. Vendor spots are available @ $25.00 per 10ft x 10ft and are not included in your Cooking Entry Fee. Judging will be Blind Tasting in each category and People’s Choice.
