Please review information below, and select the person in your building who will serve in the RtI Site Lead capacity for upcoming school year. Send the name of your designee to by July 27, 2015. An Orientation Meeting is scheduled for August 12, 2015.

District RtI Coordinator: Facilitate the implementation of the District’s RtI process and provide assistance to schools as needed/requested by school principals for whole faculty, grade level/departmental teams, etc. The RtI Coordinator will hold monthly meetings with the RtISite Leads to share information, to facilitate training, and to provide workshops on data analysis, FBAs/BIPs, etc. to ensure the fidelity of implementation of the District’s RtI process.

Principals: Select an RtI Site Lead to serve as direct liaison between the District RtI Coordinator and your school. This person will collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and other school-based instructional personnel to ensure appropriate interventions are provided and progress monitoring occurs at Tiers 2 and 3.

RtISite Leads: Understand instructional best practice, philosophy, principles, and role of the District’s RtI process and its benefits for student achievement and success. The RtI Lead will:

  • Under the direction of the principal, assign and schedule SWAT team members for the administration of the universal screener in the fall, winter, and spring windows during the year
  • Serve as Chairperson of RtI/Student Support Team (SST) and lead/facilitate grade level/departmental teams as they
  • Analyze dataand assist with determining instructional groups in collaboration with grade level/content area teacher teams
  • Ensure appropriate instruction/interventions are provided for students at Tiers 1-3 and attend scheduled grade level/content area team meetings to monitor student progress
  • Ensure student RtI information is included in cumulative folders for records requested by receiving schools, in-district or out-or-district
  • Perform folder monitoring to ensure the RtI process has been implemented and followed as required
  • Attend monthly District RtI/SST meetings
  • Build capacity and orient all appropriate staff to information/knowledge from meetings, workshops, trainings, etc.
  • Assist with FBAs/BIPs as needed
  • Promote and maintain confidentiality of all student and family information.
