Monthly Report of the Grand Chapter of Germany for March 2016

The month of March was a busy month for the Grand Chapter of Germany in terms of communicating the aims and goals of the Confraternity to friends and colleagues who showed a first interest in the work of the Confraternity.

The Grand Prior had a meeting with the head of the local parish who was very fond of working together with the Grand Chapter. However unfortunately he has to change the parish and will move away within the following days, but he promised to inform his successor about our Confraternity.

Next to that, the Grand Prior had several talks with the Grand Master of the German Knightly Order of the Archangel St Michael, in which it was confirmed on both sides that at no time there will be a situation of competition between both the two Orders but a fruitful and respectful cooperation.

In terms of support-actions the following activities should be mentioned.

Our Brother and Prior Hans Pesch supports the established school in Kenya in Angata Nanyukea with a total sum of 438 Euro.

The donations came by inhabitants of the home for elderly and sick people Pro Vita and through collection boxes in different shops, whose owners support the organization of Nanyukie.

Next tothat by personal collection through our Brother Hans-Georg Pesch in private homes and pharmacies the following items came together which could be forwarded to the hospital in Angata Nanyukie.

-walker-rollators

-wheelchairs

-prosthesis

-blood glucose meter and other small parts

It is envisaged to get in contact with the pharmaceutical industry to get some medicines as donations.

The donations will be given to the organization ANEDI for further transport.

Further collections with donation boxes are envisaged. The boxes will have the logo of the Confraternity and the aim of the collection is indicated on them as well. These boxes will be placed again in different shops and banking institutes.

Another project is the collection of goods for the organization „Mittagskinder“ (lunch children). For this organization school material, writing material, clothes like caps, backpacks, t-shirts, games and footballs are collected.

The mentioned organization offers children of families with low income a hot meal, which they could not have at home. In this institution the children get support in doing their homework and a support in social behavior by playing together, exercising music together make excursions to theatre or cinema.

The social workers in these institutions are working on a voluntary basis without getting any salary, only to give the children a dignified life.

Chevalier Hans Georg Pesch - Prior.

It should be mentioned that our Brother Hans-Georg Pesch PERSONALLY supports these institutions with an annual amount of 300 Euro from his own pocket.

Next to that he supports the Children’s Cancer Research Institute by an annual amount of 100 Euro.

Well done Chevalier Hans Georg Pesch.
