ANSI has announced the launch of a new pilot accreditation program for certification bodies that seek recognition from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to certify products under the ENERGY STAR® Program. Applications for the pilot program will be accepted until September 27, 2010.

The U.S. Department of Energy’s Technology Offices recently released a request for information on Energy Education and Workforce Development. ANSI is now accepting feedback from all members and constituents as it formulates comments to submit to the DOE. Comments are due to ANSI by September 13.

An international workshop to be held this November will examine the standards needed to facilitate access to products, services, environments, and facilities for persons with disabilities.
