Before switching on the phone insert the SIM card correctly.

Please note, this phone works in EU countries (GSM network 900/1800) only and requires a mini sim (not included.) This phone only works on 2G networks.

Orientation

Hold the phone in front of you so that the LCD display is facing towards you and is at the top.

Front

In the top third is the LCD display. In the bottom two thirds is the number keypad.

Display

Here are the symbols you’ll see on the LCD display and their meanings:

Series of bars going from short to long in the top left corner: network coverage

Musical note: the ringtone is active

Musical note with zigzag lines to the left and right: ringtone and vibration is active

Mobile phone with two zigzag lines: vibration only

Musical note with a line through it: silent mode

Bell: alarm is activated

Earphone: the earpiece is connected

White envelope: new SMS message

Arrow pointing up: call transfer activated

Battery in top right corner: level of battery charge – the more black bars the more charge the battery has

Letter R in a square: roaming activated (this icon will also be displayed in domestic roaming in the case when the user uses the network of the other operator)

Telephone handset: missed calls

White icon within a blue rectangle: Bluetooth is activated

You will also see the time, date and network operator displayed.

Please be aware that these icons may differ depending on the software version.

Keys

Starting at the top of the keypad, and moving from left to right, the keys are:

Row one: left soft key; up navigation key; right soft key

Row two: green receiver key; down navigation key; red receiver key

Row three: number one (also voicemail); number two (also ICE emergency and letters A, B and C); number three (also letters D, E and F)

Row four: number four (also letters G, H and I); number five (also letters J, K and L); number six (also letter M, N and O)

Row five: number seven (also letters P, Q, R and S); number eight (also letters T, U and V) number nine (also letters W, X, Y and Z)

Row six: star * (also plus sign and changes the size of the menu font); zero (also underline); hash sign (also used to change the mode when writing an SMS text, and for switching the ringer on and off).

Back

Turn the phone over so that the LCD display is stillat the top,and facing down.

At the top, in the middle is a rectangular SOS button. To the right of this is the speaker. Just below the SOS button is the circular camera lens.

Left edge

Towards the top is the volume control button. To increase the volume press the upper half (with a plus + sign) and to decrease volume press the lower half (with a minus – sign).

Right edge

Towards the top is a slide switch which is used to turn the torch off and on. To turn it on, slide upwards, to turn it off, slide downwards.

Below is a second slide switch which is used to lock the keypad. Slide downwards to lock and upwards to unlock.

Top edge

On the top edge, in the middle, is the torch.

Bottom edge

On the bottom edge are two sockets. The circular socket is used to connect the earphones, and the other socket is used for connecting the Micro USB charger.

SOS bracelet

The SOS Bracelet is fastened like a watch strap. In the middle, where a watch face would usually be, is a raised heart symbol; this is the SOS button. Just above the heart symbol is the LED diode.

Getting started

Removing the battery

The back of the phone can be removed to reveal the battery compartment and SIM card tray.

With the LCD display facing down, locate the small tab on the left hand edge of the back of the phone, towards the bottom. Lift up on the tab to release the cover and place down next to you.

The battery compartment is in the lower half, and along the top edge is a small half-moon shaped cut out. Place you finger nail into the cut-out to lift out the battery.

Inserting the battery

Replace the battery so that the metal contacts on the short edge meet the metal contacts within the battery compartment. If the phone is the correct way around, these should be in the bottom right hand corner. Slide the battery in at an angle and place into the battery compartment.

Installing the SIM card

Before inserting the SIM card make sure that the phone is switched off. The charger should be disconnected. To install the SIM card, you will need to remove the battery.

The SIM card tray is located in the bottom right hand corner. Slide your SIM card in from the top, with the metal contacts facing down and the corner with the cut-out in the top left position.

Installing a Micro SD card

Just above the SIM card tray and to the left is the Micro SD card tray. To open the tray, slide it gently to the right to release and lift upwards. Insert the Micro SD card so that the metal contacts are facing down. Close the tray and slide gently to the left to clip into place.

While using the memory card exercise care, in particular while inserting and removing it. Some memory cards, before the first use, need to be formatted with the use of a computer.

Regularly make copies of the information collected on the cards used in other devices, if you use this SD card type. Incorrect using or other factors may cause the damage or the loss of the card content.

Using the product

Charging the battery

Note:only use the battery supplied. Using another battery may damage the telephone and cause the loss of warranty.

Do not connect the charger when the rear cover of the housing is removed.

To charge the phone:

  1. Connect the charger to the socket.
  2. Connect the charger’s plug to the socket located on the bottom of the phone. On the display you will see the information about the charger being connected and the lines on the battery charging indicator will appear and disappear while charging.
  3. When the battery is fully charged disconnect the charger from the socket and then the cable from the phone.
  4. When the process of charging will be completed, on the display you will see the information: “Battery charged”.

Using the desktop charger

When using the desktop charger, first connect the small plug of the wall charger to the socket on the right hand edge of the desktop charger, and then connect the power adapter to the power network. To charge the phone just place it to the desktop charger with the contacts directed downwards.

Note:

  • Before starting the process of charging make sure that the battery is correctly installed
  • During the process of charging do not remove the battery as you may damage the phone
  • If the voltage of the battery is too low in order to ensure correct functioning of the phone, you will see information that the phone will be automatically switched off, and then the device will be automatically switched off
  • If the battery is totally discharged (for example because of leaving the torch switched on), after connecting the charger wait several minutes until the symbol of charging appears.

Low battery alarm

The phone will alarm with the sound signal, (if the sounds of warnings are switched on in the profile) and will show information on the display, when the battery level is getting low. In the case when the battery level is low, the LED indicator flashes red.

An empty battery symbolwill also be displayed. Charge the battery when you see this ion appear.

Special key functions

Left soft key (with a horizontal line): entering the menu; confirm

Right soft key (with a horizontal line): entering contacts; return

Red receiver key: press to return to standby mode or end a call; press and hold to switch on/off the phone

Green receiver key: making calls; in standby mode entering the list of calls

Up navigation key: shortcuts

Down navigation key: Alarm

Key one: press to enter digit 1; press and hold to access voicemail

Key two: press to enter digit 2; press and hold to display the ICE menu

Key five: press to enter digit 5; when in camera mode, press to take a photo and to start/stop recording

Keys three to nine: press to enter the digit; press and hold to dial the number allocated to that key in quick dialling

Star key: press to enter characters * +, P and W; press and hold to increase or reduce the size of the menu text

Hash key: press to enter the hash sign or changing the mode of text entry when writing an SMS; press and hold to switch silent mode on and off.

Using the SOS bracelet

The SOS bracelet is usually registered to the phone supplied as part of the package. It enables you to make an SOS call in the case that you do not have the phone at hand. In order to ensure that the SOS procedure was performed, the bracelet must be registered and switched on in the phone.

Bracelet SOS button

Press and hold the SOS button to check the battery status. A flashing orange diode means that the bracelet is ready to be used. If the diode does not light, it means that the battery is discharged and that it is necessary to contact us for replacement.

Press and hold SOS button for more than 3 seconds to start SOS procedure.

To end SOS procedure press and hold SOS button on the phone.

Note: Indoors the range of the bracelet is up to 20m, outdoors up to 100m

The range of the bracelet of the phone depends on your surroundings (line of the land, thickness of walls, electromagnetic interferences etc.) and it may be significantly limited.

433MHz band, which is used by SOS bracelet, is also used by other devices for example by alarm remote controls, remote controls for garage doors, wireless doorbells, sockets with remote controls, immobilizers, alarm detectors and many others.

Because of radio interference, the SOS bracelet may not work in relevant time.

The confirmation that the remote SOS connection was made can be the alarm signal.

That is why it’s not recommended to switch off the SOS alarm in the phone’s menu.

SOS bracelet is protected in the shower, but is not resistant to complete immersion in water.

Switching the phone on

Press and hold red receiver key used for ending a call, to switch on the phone.

If a request for PIN code will appear, you have to enter it. You will find it in in the pack received with your SIM card.

After entering the code confirm with left soft key.

Warning: Entering incorrect PIN code 3 times in a raw will cause that the SIM card will be blocked. It may be unblocked with the use of PUK code. Entering incorrect PUK code 10 times in a raw will cause that the SIM card will be blocked permanently.

Switching the phone off

To switch off the phone press and hold the red receiver key used for ending a call.

Standby mode

When the phone is switched on, but no operations are performed then it is in standby mode.

Key lock

To lock the keys slide the lock switch on the right hand edge, down. To unlock the keys slide the switch up. It is not necessary to unlock the keys to answer the call.

Using the menu

To enter the menu in standby mode press left soft key.

To navigate the menu use the up and down navigation keys.

To confirm the selected function press left soft key (ok).

To return to the previous menu, press the right soft key (back). To enter the standby mode, press the red receiver key.

Phonebook

Saving contacts

You may save a new contact in one of three ways:

  1. In standby mode enter the number, select “options” (left soft key), then “save in the phonebook”, select whether you want to save the contact in the phone or on SIM card and enter the name of the contact, press “done” (right soft key)
  2. You may save the number from the list of missed and answered calls. In order to do this in standby mode press green receiver key, select the number you want to save and press “options”. Select “save”, press left soft key, select where you want to save and enter the name of the contact. Press ok, and then “done”
  3. You may add the new contact directly to the phonebook. In standby mode select MENU->Contacts->New Contact. Select where you want to save it and enter the name and the number of the contact. Press ok and then “done”.

Adding a photo to the contact

In the case of saving the contact in the phone’s memory there is a possibility of adding a photo. It will be shown during outgoing and incoming calls.

In the contact menu select menu: caller’s photo, press left soft key (Change)> select the source (“from the camera” or “from the file”). Maximum resolution of a photo: 320x240pixels.To take a picture press key 5.

Adding a ringtone and recording the name

In the case of saving the contact in the phone’s memory you can add a ringtone or record the name.

If a special ringtone has been assigned to the contact, then during a call coming from the contact it will signal the call instead of a general ringtone.

If the name has been assigned, it will be repeated instead of the ringtone.

In the contacts menu select: Ringtone and press the left soft key (Change)> select the type (“System” “Telling the name”).

To record the name select:

Telling the name/Dictaphone will turn on/> tell the name>Press left soft key (Options)> Save (to save)/Repeat (to repeat recording).

After saving, the Dictaphone will turn on automatically and it will play the recorded sound.

In the case of activating the function of telling the name during scrolling the phonebook the recorded name will be played.

Scrolling contacts

Method 1

  1. Select MENU->Contacts->Search
  2. Enter the first letter of the name that you are searching
  3. The phone will go to the names beginning with this letter. You can scroll the list with UP/DOWN navigation keys.

Pressing the hash key will change the mode of entering text.
