TANKEN CENTRE HSC WORKSHOPS 2014

Dear teachers,

The Tanken Centre is organising HSC workshops for the July school holidays.

Dates are:

Year 12 Beginners on Tuesday 1 July and Wednesday 2 July 2014

Year 12 Continuers on Thursday 3 July and Friday 4 July 2014

Year 12 Extension on Monday 7 July 2014

Time: 10.00 a.m. - 3.00 p.m.

Cost: $110 per student (for the two-day workshop)

Cost: $55 per student (for the one-day workshop for Extension course)

The cost includes GST, lunch, morning tea, course materials and 10 hours (5 hours for Extension) of tuition.

These workshops target both language skills and exam technique. Students will be working in teams with native speakers in a stimulating environment where only Japanese is spoken. The program is designed to support students who need help as well as to provide extension for students who display strong skills in Japanese. A variety of activities relating closely to the HSC syllabus will be covered.

REGISTRATION PROCESS:

·  Teachers should fill in the workshop registration form with student details. It is important for students to give a contact number and LEGIBLE email address in case we need to contact them in the holidays.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

Students who do not attend and do not give at least 24 hours notice will be charged a $30 cancellation fee to cover lunch orders and materials. Cancellation notice must be received by the Centre by email at least 24 hours in advance. In case an unexpected event occurs on the day, the Centre must be emailed as soon as possible.

PAYMENT PROCESS:

·  You can register your students immediately but PLEASE MAKE SURE STUDENTS HAVE PAID YOUR SCHOOL FOR THE WORKSHOP BEFORE THE ATTENDANCE DATE.

·  DEC schools will be direct debited for the cost of each student AFTER THE WORKSHOP. Students should pay the school BEFORE THE WORKSHOP.

·  Non-DEC schools will receive an invoice to be paid by electronic transfer.
