Remote Access (RA4) Problems Connecting Using Citrix (Mac)

If you are having problems using the Remote Access Service, please follow the guide below to update your Citrix Client and add the trusted sites required for Remote Access.

  1. Go to in your web browser
    Please note it is recommended that Internet Explorer is used for Remote Access and the Citrix Client

  1. Select the Downloads link from the top of the page

  1. Now select the Citrix Receiver link

  1. On the Client Centerpage under Download Citrix Receiver today you will need to select the client for your Windows operating system
    Select the Mac OS Xclient under the sub heading for Desktops

  1. On the next page select the Download link for Receiver
/
  1. After selecting the Download link you will see a pop-up window Citrix Download Manager
    In this window select the link Download your file manually

  1. After selecting the link you will see a Citrix Receiver download box

Select Saveand you will see that the Citrix receiver download is complete
Please note you do not need to remove/uninstall the previous Citrix Client as the new Client will do this automatically
You can now login to Remote Access again ( /

Active X Control Error Messages

If you see the Active X Control error message - Internet Explorer has blocked this site from using an ActiveX control in an unsafe manner. As a result this page may not display correctly, then follow these steps:

  1. Before logging into Remote Access ( you may see a Message icon located at the top of the Remote Access login screen, select this to view the available message(s)

  1. If you are presented with the message shown here then the Remote Access website will need to be added to Trusted sites

  1. To add the Remote Access website to Trusted sites, select Tools and then Internet Options

  1. Select the Security tab and then select the Trusted sites tick icon
  2. From there select the Sites button below

  1. In the Trusted siteswindow underAdd this website to the zone enter
    and then select Add, this will now be shown in the Websites box below
  2. You will also need to add to do so enter this in the Add this website to the zone and then untick the box stating Require server verification... and then select Add
  3. Once this is added to the Websites box, tick Require server verification...and select Close on the Trusted sites window and then OK on the Internet Options window to return to your browser

  1. Once back on the Remote Access login screen, refresh your browser window (F5), the message icon should now have disappeared
    You can now login to Remote Access
