How to use the T6A V2 as a trainer:

1) Firstly download the programming software for the transmitter T6Config (just press Ctrl + Click the link)

2) Once downloaded and installed plug your transmitter in to a free USB slot using the programming cable (HobbyKing product ID: FS-L001), allow windows to download the appropriate driver

3) Now, open T6Config, turn on the transmitter and check that all the controls move properly and program your transmitter in T6Config, then once everything is fine, unplug the USB cable and turn off the transmitter

4) Download the PPJoy version 0.83 using this link: PPJoy v0.83 it is the one described in thebullet point instructions below

5) Open PPJoy and do the following:

Ø Click ‘Add New Joystick’, in top combobox select "Virtual Joysticks" and click "Add".

Ø Next, click "Mapping", "Next", set 6 Axes, 0 Buttons and 0 POV's.

Ø Change Axis3 to Throttle and Axis4 to Rudder, click Next->Next->Next->Finish. Click Done and close PPJoy.

Ø Now download T6Sim using this link: T6Sim v1.0

Ø Connect you USB cable to PC and radio, and turn the transmitter on.

Ø Now start T6Sim (it will come up as a yellow smiley face in your taskbar- bottom right, double click the smiley and it will open)

Ø Select the com port used by your cable, and click "Open COM".

Ø Check for sliders response.

Ø Under ‘Virtual Joystick’ click the dropdown list and then Select ‘Virtual Joystick’ from the dropdown list.

Ø Close T6sim (it drops to the taskbar).

Ø Start simulator, select joystick, map it and FLY !

NOTE: after first setup, all you have to do to make it work again is to Open T6Sim, check all the sliders are moving when you use the transmitter and then drop T6Sim to the taskbar (or leave it running), open your Sim and away you go again...


If you don’t have a simulator already here is a link to a good free one, it is only compatible with Windows XP and lower, but it can be made to work with Vista- just Google ‘FMS Vista’ for more information (FMS is not compatible with Nvidia graphics cards- it lags... A LOT!
