Here’s your chance to invent something that will make your life easier!
Your assignment:
Come up with an everyday problem to solve
Design an original Rube Goldberg style machine (use 70R)
Give your machine a creative title
It must include at least10 simple machines (color coded):
- Inclined plane (green)
- Lever (blue)
- Pulley (yellow)
- Wheel & Axle (red)
Each step should be lettered and correspond with written narrativethat will be stapled to the cartoon (see“Outboard Motor” cartoon
Finally, remember that the philosophy behind Rube Goldberg machines was “gadgets for the sake of gadgets” and not being realistic (remember the example videos from class!).
All your amazing inventions will be presentedon Wednesday. Remember to have fun with this, but follow the Rubric … this is a quiz grade!
