Here’s your chance to invent something that will make your life easier!

Your assignment:

Come up with an everyday problem to solve

Design an original Rube Goldberg style machine (use 70R)

Give your machine a creative title

It must include at least10 simple machines (color coded):

  1. Inclined plane (green)
  2. Lever (blue)
  3. Pulley (yellow)
  4. Wheel & Axle (red)

Each step should be lettered and correspond with written narrativethat will be stapled to the cartoon (see“Outboard Motor” cartoon

Finally, remember that the philosophy behind Rube Goldberg machines was “gadgets for the sake of gadgets” and not being realistic (remember the example videos from class!).

All your amazing inventions will be presentedon Wednesday. Remember to have fun with this, but follow the Rubric … this is a quiz grade!
