¤ 3 SCHENGEN VISA APPLICATION FORMS DULY COMPLETED AND SIGNED

¤ 3 RECENT and COLOR PASSPORT PHOTO 35 X 45 mm ON A WHITE BACKGROUND

¤ ¤ A valid PASSPORT for at least 6 months from the date on which you intend to leave the SCHENGEN territory, or, in the case of multiple journeys, the date on which you intend to leave it for the last time. This document must also contain at least 2 blank pages and have been issued less than 10 years ago.

¤ FOR NON-RWANDAN NATIONALS: VALID LONG STAY VISUM OR PERMANENT RESIDENCE PERMIT IN RWANDA

¤ COPY OF PASSPORT AND PREVIOUS VISAS

¤A SCHENGEN INSURANCE (local or European)

¤ RESERVATION OF A ROUND TRIP TICKET (no purchase without confirmation of the agreement for the visa)

¤ PROOF OF DECLARATION OF WEDDING at the city hall of the city of residence of the future spouse (max 6months old)

¤ COPY OF IDENTITY CARD OR RESIDENCE PERMIT of partner in Belgium

¤ PROOF OF SUFFICIENT AND REGULAR FINANCIAL MEANS of the partner + pay slip of the past 3 months (employee) or extract of the last tax roll (self-employed) + composition of family

¤ PROOF OF SUFFICIENT ACCOMODATION (registered rental contract or proof of ownership)

¤ PROOF OF THE PROFESSIONAL SITUATION / REGULAR RESOURCES of applicant

¤ CERTIFICATE OF CELIBACY

¤ BIRTH CERTIFICATE OF BOTH PARTNERS (>21 years)

¤ PROOF OF LASTING AND STABLE NATURE OF THE RELATIONSHIP (exchange of mail, pictures, visas of travel, plane tickets, testimony, etc…)

¤ LEGALIZED CRIMINAL RECORD CERTIFICATE (max. 6 months old)

1 – ALL DOCUMENTS MUST BE SUBMITTED IN ORIGINAL FORM + 2 COMPLETE COPY OF EACH DOCUMENT (INCLUDING PASSPORT AND FORM)

2 – THE ABSENCE OF ONE OR MORE DOCUMENTS MAY RESULT IN THE REJECTION OF THE VISA

3 – ADDITIONAL DOCUMENTS MAY ALWAYS BE REQUIRED

4 – THE HANDLING FEE SHOULD BE PAID AD SUBMISSION OF THE FILE AND WON’T BE PAID BACK IF THE VISA IS REJECTED

5 – PHYSICAL PRESENCE IS ALWAYS REQUIRED

·  All the civil acts will be legalized by the local authorities of the country issuance and by the Belgian Embassy in that country.

·  The production of all the required documents does not mean that the visa will be issued. It remains subject to internal instructions. The demand of cohabitation is subject to approval of the Belgian Immigration Office.

·  An appointment may be fixed by the Embassy if necessary

·  The study of your file can take several weeks or even months, according to each case.
