Minutes:

I.  Carol Williamson announced her retirement on June 30, 2005.

II.  Deb suggested that we have a report/discussion on Alcohol and Drug Abuse Task Force update to the Vice Presidents for Student Affairs at the Salisbury meeting in April. We will share best practices on Alcohol and Drug Abuse programs.

III.  Topic A

  1. Funding Sources and Structure
  2. Who reports to student affairs – discussion on what is in in student affairs – look to redo the chart to show functions reporting to student affairs and let the org charts show the departments.
  3. Enrollment management discussion transpired with explanations on how and why this structure evolved at the campuses.
  4. Funding Source
  5. Auxiliary and self support is treated as the same type of operations in this discussion
  6. Staffing
  7. Use FTE approach, listing FTEs per department area and no less than .25. Add a total at the bottom to show the number of staff total in the division.
  8. Seth will correct the form and send it out to us for updating. Also send organizational charts to Seth.
  9. Review of the org charts from UMBC, Coppin, and UMUC.
