GOLF WORLD ANNOUNCES RESULTS OF FINAL
WOMEN’SDIVISION IICOLLEGECOACHES’ POLL

Nova SoutheasternRetains Top Spot

(NEW YORK, NY)—The final Golf World/NGCA Division I College Women’s Coaches’ Poll of the season has been released, combining the resources of Golf World magazine and the National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA). The complete results, including results from Divisions I and III, will appear in the November 28, 2011 issue of Golf World and are live now:

Three-time defending NCAA champions Nova Southeastern earned 13 of the 15 available first-place votes to stay atop the final fall Golf World/NGCA women’s Division II coaches’ poll. The Sharks won their lone D-II tournament, the Shark Invitational, which they hosted. They also finished third, third and fourth in four D-I tournaments.
In the No. 2 spot, earning the remaining two first-place votes, was St. Edward’s. Northeastern State, Tarleton State and Grand Valley State round out the top five.
Two new schools join the top 10: No. 9 Midwestern State and No. 10 Lynn.
Three new schools join the top 25: No. 20 Carson-Newman, No. 23 Tusculum and No. 24 Hawaii-Hilo.
