Independent Practice Finish p. 150 – 151 # 3 – 18
Finish 3.3 Notes: Solve a linear equation using the reciprocal.
Guided Practice: Students try problems using multiplying by a reciprocal to eliminate a fraction. Teacher circulates as needed.
Independent Practice p. 150 – 151 # 19 - 24

Wed/Thur : September 10 - 11 / Objective: SWBAT solve equations with variables on both sides.
Activities: Warm Up: Solve a multi-step equation
Go Over H.W. p. 150 – 151 # 3 – 24
Notes Lesson 3.4. Do exampleswith variables on both sides.
Guided practice p. 155 # 1 - 6 with a partner. Have students display answers on the board. Go over questions as needed.
Group Activity: Slide Game: Students will line up with their chairs facing a partner. One partner will listen as the other partner will tell the other what to write and how to do the problem. Then one line shifts down one to get a new partner. The process repeats but the roles reverse. One partner will listen as the other will tell the person what to write and how to do the problem.
Independent Practice: p. 157 # 3 – 26.
Assessment: exit ticket
