GIRBAU GROUP CONVENTION IN THE AMERICAS

Subsidiaries, dealers and customers gathered in Buenos Aires to attend the presentation of the new products

Vic (Barcelona), March 28th 2012. – Girbau’s subsidiaries, dealers, clients and consultants from different countries on the American continent participated in the second America convention (GCA) held from the 18th to 20th of March in Buenos Aires (Argentina).This is the first time that the convention has brought together both English, Spanish and Portuguese-speaking countries in the Americas.

Over the two days, attendees from 14 countries, ranging from the US to Argentina, exchanged experiences and opinions in their respective markets and followed the presentations of the group’s new products in washing, drying and ironing with interest.

ED Ecodryers, PB-PBP ironers and the Compact flatwork ironing line were some of the focuses of interest, along with new features that have been added to the washing machines.In turn, the group’s industrial division presented the latest innovations in batch washerand flatwork ironing systems, highlighting the ST-1300 dryers and the new FS-LITE folder for small items.

The convention coincided with the inauguration of the new Tecnolav Premium laundry in Buenos Aires, equipped by Girbau.During the inauguration, the President of Girbau Group, Merce Girbau stressed that: "This laundry is proof that our slogan Growing together is a reality.Tecnolav started out in a garage with just a few washing machines,and has become a large-scale batch washer facility. It has grown along with us."

For his part, Santi Carol, export vicepresident, emphasised "the great teamwork effort made over these two days.It is enriching to share experiences.Each market is different, but the spirit of a client-based service is a collective one.This is what allows us to move forward. "

During the convention, attendees also visited the Swiss Medical Laundry, a hospital laundry with the largest sanitary barrier washers that Girbau currently has in the Americas.
