-  Conducting the special malaria lecture for management of malaria for 19 Malaysian doctors/medical officers, 26 June 2008.

-  Conducting the special malaria training course for management of malaria for 2 Laos doctors funded by SEAMEO-TROPMED/

Network, 18-29 August 2008.

-  Conducting the 6th international training course for management of malaria at Faculty of Tropical Medicine, Mahidol University, Bangkok, 1-5 September, 2008. There were 45 participants from 15 countries are Philippines, Australia, Congo, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Kenya, Bangladesh, Taiwan, Japan, Myanmar, India, Nigeria, Bhutan and USA.

-  Conducting UK-Thailand Malaria Meeting funded by NSTDA Thailand, Siam City Hotel, Bangkok, 14-16 September 2008.

-  Conducting the special malaria training session for update on malaria chemotherapy research for African doctors/ medical officers, funded by Ministry of Public Health, Thailand,

12 November 2008.

-  Participating in oral and poster presentation in malaria of Joint International Tropical Medicine Meeting 2008, 13-14 October 2008, Imperial Queen’s Park Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand.

-  Conducting the special malaria training course for management of malaria for 21 Pakistan doctors and medical officers and 4 Japanese doctors from Japanese Self Defense Force, 25-26 November 2008.

The activities were implemented by collaboration with WHO SEARO, WR Bangladesh, WHO Mekong Malaria Programme, SEAMEO TROPMED Network and Mahidol-Oxford Research Unit (Wellcome Unit).
